This game will be just as closely fought as most derby games we've seen over the past 100 or so years.
Have to agree there Harold, don't think it will be a walkover like some seem to think

Given the injury situation and lack of confidence, I doubt we'll get near them, but i would love it if the players showed some fight and pride in the shirt, and at least made things difficult for them. A few posters have mentioned the lack of size in the few still standing forwards we have, but there is some truth in the adage "it's not the man in the fight but the fight in the man". Murphy, cox and stenchion were never the biggest props in the world, but they never took a backward step - that's what I want to see on sunday.Think you are been kind to us there,if we keep it down thirty points,i will be happy.

It would however be nice to do a job on the old enemy, but as always, im braced for all outcomes and am expecting the unexpected!
One thing i will predict though, is that Batley fans will outnumber Dewsbury fans by 2 to 1, as per usual.

If only you could persuade them all to go to the mount though, eh ?we need 3 points to keep the pressure on at the top, as its a derby i expect it to be tight, so not really bothered if we win by 1 or 100 as long as we have the 3 points in the bag at full time - we rarely produce 2 polished performances back to back, so after the good display against swinton we might be in for a bit of a trench war at the Ratite on Sunday.

Not worth a new topic, but any ideas why your club website says 'Next home
game v York - Sunday 19th Aug - kick off at 19.30???
Looks like the site automation has made an error. I'll have a word.
