Francis Cummins and Francis Maloney to take over. I've heard on the grape-vine that it's a certainty, but is there any truth in this?

I WISH. They might not be any better though. Maybe we'd be better off looking for an experienced coach without a club - how about Andy Kelly ? :o

Oldham have today sacked Tony Benson after failing for promotion....

Wev failed our season targets for the last 2 seasons with some big hammerings away from home and boring to watch rugby, fans are saying they wont get season tickets next season if the same coaching team is in place so we need to start looking towards a new era and a fresh change...

Possible Candidates if we replace our coach

FRANCIS CUMMINS
FRANCIS MALONEY
RYAN SHERIDAN
MATT CALLAND
DAVE WOODS
BARRY EATON
DAMIEN BALL?( FORMER HALIFAX ASSISTANT)?
LEE GREENWOOD (THE FORMER BATLEY WINGER WHO WAS KARL HARRISONS ASSISTANT AND STILL IS AT HALIFAX,HIGHLY RATED I BELIEVE??)

WHAT ABOUT JAMES RATCLIFFE OR PAUL DELANEY OR EVEN BOTH?

GARRY SCHOFIELD
EVEN BRIAN NOBLE AS DAFT AS IT SOUNDS IF HES INTERESTED IN SOME KIND OF PARTTIME COACHING WHILE IN THE MEDIA,LIKE JON KEAR AT BATLEY?

THEY IS PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WOULD TAKE THE JOB OR WHO WE COULD TALK TO IF THE CLUB CHOOSE TO!!!

Eddie, you need to stop eating the grapes from that vine, they are obviously fuelling your imagination.

DTID, I hope you are prepared to pay full price for your Season Ticket (13 league games x £14) to fund some of those on your list!

Anyway we shall have to wait until early September because Coolie says so and he is always right.

SO LEE GREENWOOD, JAMES RATCLIFFE, FRANCIS MALONEY, PAUL DELANEY, MATT CALLAND AND DAMIEN BALL AND BARRY EATON WE CANT AFFORD or sell the job to?

THE CLUB SOMETIMES COMES ACROSS AS LACKING AMBITION AND THAT PUTS ALOT OF OUR SUPPORTERS OFF.

And yes il still be buying a season ticket..

Did you go to keighley wilsden ram? Did you go to sheffield, to leigh? to halifax? to fev?

Not a dig but we got tonked and i got bored to death!

The club could sort all this is he going or staying problem,by coming out andsaying what is going to happen next season.Everyone will know where we all stand and building for the future, its not that hard to sort out,is it?

I posted on your forum about this a while ago - Cummins was seen up at your ground and not for the car boot sale. They will turn you guys into a good side, so i hope you offer Warren another year.

I have not missed a game, home or away, for the last 4 seasons including the February 2010 NRC trip to Toulouse so I have seen all the defeats.

Keighley have pushed the boat out this season as regards playing budget but have their gates increased? The answer is No. If our supporters are
put off by a lack of ambition compare our recent gates to those in 1998 to 2001, they are not greatly different. I remember attending the final League match of
the 1999 Season against Bramley when the crowd was in the region of 900. In those days we did have 'ambition' and spent money that we did not have.
Luckily, Mark Sawyer then came along and saved the club from disaster. As you know, we have finally concluded those
free spending years by paying off the debt from Carlsberg.

Why would I not go to Keighley, it is only 10 mins from my home? (West Yorkshire Geography Lesson).

From your list

Lee Greenwood, Francis Maloney, Paul Delaney and Damien Ball have no Championship Head Coach Track Record at all. Although I
know that Damien Ball would love to get back into Rugby League as he is currently involved in Rugby Yawnion.

Barry Eaton, who i admire and respect a great deal, is struggling on a small playing Budget at Hunslet.

I said some on the list - namely Francis Cummins, Matt Calland, Ryan Sheridan and Dave Woods, who would, I suspect, require a great deal of money not just for
Salary but for playing Budget guarantees.

If there is to be a vacancy, it would be interesting to see if the people on your list actually apply. Then the club would find out at the Interview stage what their requirements
would be.

The Club does not lack ambition but we do live within our means. As I have said many times to my friends in
the South Stand if all our loyal supporters (600) paid £2.00 per week extra into the Squadbuilder then we could have
£60,000 more to spend on the playing Budget and we could afford to be ambitious and go some way to match up to Fev, Halifax etc.
Before you have another (non) dig, I pay £100 per month into the Squadbuilder so I am entitled to an opinion. However, i do also realise
that not everyone can afford £2.00 per week in the current economic climate.

Pleased to see that you will buy a Season Ticket that makes at least 4 sold for next season.

I wasnt having a dig at all, just feel that we could do alot better and made the top 6 which was our target. We must have a similar budget to batley and they are 3rd! Whats worse is we cant make our target and we still have 3 games to go. Im dissapointed in the way we play more than anything, its boring especialy away from home. Its just poor rugby. No dummy runners, dont get the ball out enough, try nothing new. It just basicaly dissapoints me. I can take defeats if efforts there and we play enjoyable rugby that gives us a team to be proud of.

By and large agree - getting a coach with a confirmed pedigree on an affordable contract would be difficult. I would be happy to pay a tenner a month on top of my existing commitment if the coach (whoever he might be) gives assurances the money will be spent on quality and not hopeful punts and fading journeymen.

Just like to say a big thanks to warren and his staff for 2 good seasons,1 which will live long in the memory of many of us. Winning every game in championship 1 was a great season and one which realy got the club buzzing again. Warren leaves the club putting us in a better position than when he took over and i think that despite the dissapointment these last 2 seasons deserves a massive thanks for his efforts, which sadly fell short this season and last. Coaches and managers go in everysport, thats life but warren as just took us as far as he can and certainly in my opionion can leave with his head held high. It is time for a change,a new era but for now id like to say thanks warren.
