Ignore the jibes Graham, when people start mocking with childish remarks its usually a sign of jealousy and also insecurity which might be from the fact that the written press is dying and websites and social media are the future.

Has anyone else noticed the article in the League weekly by Ryan Sparks. He is from Dewsbury and comments like "Bulldogs flog naming rights" not gaining valuable sponsership in hard times . Also " Un Pleasant" ie. The Batley ground maybe he should speak to visiting supporters who always speak highly of their visit to our stadium. I have noticed his negativity to the bulldogs in his match reports in the league weekly and the press. I suspect he is a Dewsbury fan and is showing his dislike for the bulldogs in his articles.
TBF, Malcolm Haigh is just as bad. I'll await the backlash from elsewhere, but I reckon the overall standard of reporting is poor in the RL press. If you want a decent and (relatively) impartial Batley report, you know where to go!

The guy is an idiot and his reports have never given Batley any credit.
Hes on a par with notorious letter writer Kevin Maguire in my book.

I'm not really up for getting into some kind of forum debate but I'm more than happy to point out a few facts.
I'm from Bradford, I have never once written "Bulldogs flog naming rights" - I don't write the headlines or the captions - and I favour neither Batley or Dewsbury. I report on them both, equally, every week.
And you talk of negativity in my match reports, right. My last started with: A NEAR-FAULTLESS display, crafted by the sheer excellence of half-backs Ben Black and Gareth Moore, provided the perfect platform for a Dewsbury-born amateur to introduce himself as a star of the future as Batley swept aside Co-operative Championship strugglers Swinton with an 11-try demolition.
Hardly negative to be fair.

I have the best part of an entire website dedicated to criticsing me and telling me I'm not up to the job, Ryan, you've a long way to go before you scale those heights!
They can't all love you fellas... I would know!

I'm suprised that Ostrich site is still up. Do we know who is behind it?
Yes. if vitriol continues anonymity will no longer be preserved.

On the subject of 'time', I think the saddest thing about the Ostriches site is that a Batley supporter who clearly has web design skills, SEO knowledge and a lot of time on his hands would rather dedicate his efforts to spreading nasty rumours, slandering innocent people and cyber bullying than making a positive contribution to the club he supports.
