Apologies, stupidly i only looked at the join date of the posters. Companies house isn't showing a problem but there is a listing at the courts.

It is true, and it appears to be the current company. Listed as item 153 here:

More fun and games with the share holdings?? Taxman come calling?? Who knows??

At least we can rest assured Dave Jones has plenty of experience in such matters.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

If you check companies house, they are showing no problem with the company. Now I know it was listed in court yesterday but had the company been disolved/wound up they are usually pretty good at updating their register.I think a statement from JK is required here and fairly quickly.

In general this will mean either; a creditor has taken legal action for recovery of a debt (the most likely candidate being HMRC), or; the company has been wound up voluntarily in order to do some sort of change structurally such as was carried out about 3 years ago when the Trust was stripped of its shareholding.

It is possible a debt may have been paid off at the last minute.

However if the company was wound up (for whatever reason) precedent would say it will result in a 9 point penalty in the league. Perhaps this prospect might explain a loss of form on the field last Thursday.

In the recent history of Oldham Roughyeds, Chris Hamilton has been through a period where getting a winding up order was almost a 6 monthly event!

I agree with Alan, the club needs to make a statement on this matter ASAP .Let us hope there is a plausible explanation.

Don't worry! The Kidd's have plenty of experience in dealing with this type of thing.

I can not believe this club its one thing after another, having just renewed my season ticket for next season we find this out today. John Kidd if your reading this please advise your fans what is going on we deserve to know.

Sometimes I ask myself why do I keep following this club, we must be up there for the worst treated fans in the sport. I am getting really ###### with the club and really am coming to the end of supporting them, I feel like cancelling my season ticket for next year.

This is current situtation:

1) We don't know where we are playing next year
2) Is Agecroft still happening?
3) Are we still going to be in existence next year?

Total Joke this club.

HMRC has been getting more aggressive with its recovery policy in the last couple of years (witness Rangers FC et al) so my guess is that the taxman has taken action and the club has put off paying the bill until the last minute.

Given the "track record" of the company secretary, some brinkmanship of this nature should not be that great a surprise.

A statement from John Kidd is badly needed.

Further to rumour-mongering that has been to the forefront of idle gossip in the last couple of days, we would point out that the Club, clearly, is NOT subject to winding up.

For information - HMRC issued a petition, originally for a sum which was settled on or about 16th July 2012.

On 21st July they thanked us for the settlement but allowed the petition to run until the current month had been paid. This was cleared on 21st July 2012 (late by 2days) and the Club is completely up to date at the time of this statement.

Unfortunately the case was not withdrawn and Monday 6th August it was brought before the Royal Courts of Justice and dismissed.

The Club will call a Fans' Meeting as soon as we can, hopefully early in September 2012, with a full agenda and any further queries on this or any other matter can be discussed openly.

This obviously will include an update on the Stadium.

So good news in the end.

I giggled at that post.

Also good to hear that a fans meeting will be arranged soon, hopefully with good news about the stadium.
