I hope we win, but doubt we will, given our injury absences. I think we need to concentrate on standing toe to toe with Wire. I would go with 5 props, and play it tight. Sam will come up with enough for us to score points. Win or lose, we still have the LLS within our own control. Should be a good game.

Once in 8? Goodness, that does not bode well. I hope we get a bit closer than 16 points down. Over to Messrs Lima, Mossop and Hock to try and hold the mighty Wire forwards.

If it was at the PieDome then I'd say a Pie win on the back of a rash of penalties awarded against Wire

Since its at the HJ then it will be a Wire win following a rash of penalties against the crust munchers + plus a hugely controversial VR decision

Hock & Westwood to clothesline someone

We need to step up another gear from Monday evening, certainly in attack where we blew chance after chance. You can't really afford to blow those against Wigan, although IIRC we did turn over a hell of a lot of ball in the game at the DW earlier this year.

Should be a good one, hope people aren't talking about the ref afterwards and are talking about the skill on display from the players, whichever way the result goes.

Wire 16 Wigan 28.

(And I predict a bitchfest on here afterwards.)

TBH, as long as it was about an actual Rugby match as opposed to promotion and relegation, licensing, unfair treatment and administration then it would actually be quite refreshing!

Not been masses of actual Rugby discussion here for a while, hopefully a top of the table clash will sort that!

You mean it hasn't already started?

Then what the heck was it? *sigh*

Strange game, in so much the result will not affect positions. Wigan win, then first spot is pretty much guaranteeed (if they lose, I don't think it will affect them finishing top). Warrington win, they still remain in second, a dead rubber in some ways, which is bizarre when you consider it is a 1 v 2.

Best result for me; Eddie and Clarkey coming to blows in full view of the cameras as they ramp up their Briers/Tomkins love-in.

Overall, Wigan to win to effectively seal the LLS. Hopefully, this will put the limelight onto the LLS and how it is a great feat to be the best side over the course of a season, not the usual GF dress rehearsal nonsense.

Quite often these games would sell out literally on the day, now we have an additional 2k spaces in the ground. It'd be nice if this fixture was at a different time of the year, as it does seem to have been affected by Wembley for a few years now meaning that the clubs don't always give it the push it deserves due to pushing Wembley tickets and merchandise.

This should easily get a full house, but with the schedule and the costs that many fans are incurring this month, I suspect not.

Sadly I think Wigan will lose this by 12 points. We've quite a few injuries and our for has been patchy of late. Also wire are in good form at the moment.
