Town v Barra is gonna be a belter, hoping to see around 2000 at Derwent Park for it with decent weather. Possible title decider, should be a very good game.

Great to see that Town and Barrow are looking good again. Sleeping giants.
Next year the second tier is looking strong with most clubs able to put themsleves in a position for SL. If P&R comes back soon I reckon we'll see a fair few crowds topping 4-5k

If..if...if...
A triumph of hope over adversity I reckon. Again, there is not one jot of evidence that any current CC club could attain and then remain in SuperLeague.

C'mon Gateshead ! - a win against Haven would keep the promotion race alive.

Barrow have 5 coaches (52 seaters) fully booked & I've heard of other coaches or mini buses with the many cars could see 500/700 Barrow fans on the worst road in England, should be a great atmosphere and a bruising Cumbrian derby.

An absolute cracking game at Workington today that could have gone either way due to lots of errors and penalties by both sides but that just added to the excitement of the occasion. It should have been 24 - 0 at half-time but Barrow scored 2 tries from kick charge downs and it ended up at 24 - 18 at HT. Barrow scored first in the second half to go all square but after being 30 - 30 Town dug deep and went away at the end to win by 14 points (48 - 34) and deny Barrow the bonus point they needed to keep hold of the favourites tag for the title. It's all now in Town's own hands if they can win the title or not!!!!
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

South Wales subs coming off the bench to fight ,worse team I have seen all year, once the Physio had stopped running on with instructions every two minutes they were worse than bad.
Success does not consists in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.

Sounded like the score line flattered Barrow today as the best team on the day won, hope you slip up as we need the 50'000

Good win for Crusaders in their final home game of an encouraging first season. Game was even until the last quarter when London just ran out of puff. They also get my weirdest looking kit of the season award!
