Yes but they're not the champions . We've been put in line with the other leagues and the playoffs determine the champions . Don't ask why when the big money goes to the league leaders!!

You get didly squat david for winning the league its hardly owt.Win the play offs thats the payday mate which IMO is totally wrong but hey ho thats the clowns at the RFL for you.

50 grand in our league and 20 grand for the playoff winner even though that brings the champion title ? You want money or title!!!... Or both of course. Does look like the RFL are covering all bases and just end up looking a little confused

I was thinking about this the other day and my guess is that the RFL decided on the amounts of money for winning each first and at this stage the idea was that the league winner wouldn't be playing in the play offs therefore the most money went to the league winner.

Later they have realised that the "Play Offs" weren't really play offs as the top 4 finishes would simply go up, so they have included the league winners in the play offs and called them the Grand Final.

They simply haven't changed the prize money for each, only my guess but knowing how the RFL make things up as they go along it probably isn't far out.

They'll have worked it out in crayon on a fag packet. Either give everything to the grand final winner or to the league winners with the playoff a little bonus but they're having a bob each way and it looks a little Irish.
