Lived up to all the hype, we generally outplayed them and bossed the game but for a couple of errors, but let's not dwell on them. What a performance, guts, determination, skill and most of all heart got us through the biggest game in 10 years. The whole pack were outstanding, thacks,Phillips and stack were the pick of them, but every single one of the forwards were unbelievable, and a special mention to whitehead who got the try that could secure us the title. Out of the backs I thought forber had a good game and Elliot miller was again the pick of the bunch. I think the scoreline would have been more if Matty had stayed on the field, but all credit to bamber for stepping up to the plate. Barrow played there part and capitalised on our mistakes but I can't believe any raider fan can argue that they were 2nd best today. This game tops the donny one and shows that the game on sky was a blip in an otherwise fantastic season. Well done to each and everyone of the boys. Let's just hope carter and olstrum are available next Sunday as there was a few injured bodies out there today.

It was awesome . We don't get many games like that do we, 2 or 3 a season at best . That's what we'll get every home game next year. We'll be looking at Barrow as one of the less hard !!! Dear me but great all the same!! Roll on .

well done to Town easily the best side...We were outplayed for the most part but that was down to town bossing us...we tried and failed to take you on in the forwards which was our downfall. Good game to watch tho and superb atmosphere. We will need to beat Scorpions about 200-0 (thats if we win at Hornets which if we play like that wont be easy
).

I think all the errors and penalties added to the drama of the occasion. When it got to 30 - 30 I was thinking we are not going to do it but somehow we dragged ourselves over that magic 13 point margin and hung on. The last couple of minutes seemed endless waiting for the hooter to go. The atmosphere in the shed today was great with two sets of fans enjoying themselves with no bitterness on display. Well done to everyone for making it a very enjoyable match.

While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Town v Barrow was as good as I hoped, and the Barra marra`s who traveled in numbers played their part in a great atmosphere, as good as any I have seen at DP for many years. Town dominated the majority of the game but kept giving little pressie`s away to keep Barrow in it in the first half, but managed to get the job done. Well done to the Barrow faithful though, been as good as season as they could have hoped for when you see where they were pre season. Good luck next season, though not against us obviously.

If Town do win the league and Barrow finish 2nd, we will have to go through it all again on 16th September at DP when the top two meet in the play-offs with the winner going straight to the Final. The loser would be at home to the best of the rest to get to the final, so there could even be another meeting in the Final!!!!! I don't think I could stand all that excitement.

I think if that's the case then the pressure will be totally off town, already crowned league winners with a nice cheque banked already. Plus I think our play was s touch panicky yesterday knowing we had to get the 13 point margin, we will be relaxed in the playoffs and I think we would take them at home easy enough.
