Well done today . We wanted it more . We totally dominated, and could have had 60 ... Defence needs to tighten and cut out the silliness as we gave them about 24 but what a game , what a win , what a day !!! Up the town ... Thackray was unbelievable and Phillips is just fantastic.
Ankle ligaments for Matty and a bang on the arm for Calderwood. PS the three kids were great and that Salford lad is a beast or what!!! Wait till he gets fit.

Walne was great and Annakin looked like a real un in the making, muscle man. We really need Petersen back for defence up the middle but that was just buzzing big style!!!! And Dawsey was there!

What an advert for RL, Town just fantastic today, Thack's was mom for me, but hard to pick, 17 top performers, got to stop giving daft tries away, but no arguements from me, great win against a very good Barrow team.

What can you say about that? We made Barrow look better than they were today by so many daft errors and poor defence at times otherwise the game was over by half-time. I heard Holty on the radio on the way home and he said it should have been 24 - 0 at half-time and he couldn't believe it was only 24 - 18. We have been crying out all year for our half-backs to take on the opposition line and Lupton did a little of that today but almost every time Forber got the ball he passed it. Our kicking from hand was poor at times, hence the two tries from charge downs. Knowing what a poor defender Scotty Kaighan is I was surprised we didn't attack him more than we did because he doesn't like to tackle. All 3 of the young lads came out of the game with a lot of credit and Walne took his try well. Forber's goal kicking was spot on today and I don't think he missed a conversion. Matty going off in the first half and not coming back again is a worry and Calderwood took a bang on his arm which I suppose is like a dead leg sort of injury. We got one try from a glaring forward pass from Lupton but, hey, how many have we had given against us this season, so swings and roundabouts. Good turn out from Barrow and I counted 4 coaches and not as many cars as we were led to believe so I would say around 300 from Barrow made the journey including one face who was always welcome at DP - Tony Kay.
I remember when .............................

I think they brought alot more than 300 i seen 5 busses go through Egremont about 12ish,full of Raiders fans and a few raiders cars on the way home.... 500+ id say.

Today was a brilliant game and i felt pretty relaxed for most of it.

Awesome win. brilliant!!!

Brett Carter and Jack Pedley sitting near me ... Lupton was a lot better today and you can't fault Forbers goal kicking today , that could have won the league. His play in general , especially his passing and last tackle plays still substandard and Matty was a huge miss. We won so well - without Carter and Olstrum and Petersen , with injuries in the game , and giving tries away !!! We've so much more in us which is what frustrates Charlo , but boy it shows what were capable of and where else would you have rather been today ??? I was disappointed in them , particularly reading this forum in the past week and their fans confidence, they were always just clinging on I thought. We won't mess it up now weve got something to fight for. I just love town .

I'ev never seen such an error ridden game of rugby. Misleading scoreline it should have been 48-12. Well done to all 17 of the players. Great win with outstanding determination.

The Barra fans were loving Phillips , he was strong but Thacks .... Wow oh wow , best performance I've seen from an individual in this league for as long as I can remember . And we've resigned him !!!!! Worried about Matty though

Yep gutted for Matty, looks like it could be season over (Hope I'm wrong though!)
Whitehead made some good yards when he came on and deserved that try, lets just hope we can stay strong, regroup and push on and win it.

Can't make Oldham but gonna be buzzing for G/head and Rochdale on the final day!!

Ankle ligaments could mean anything from ice on and 2/3 weeks to yes, the worst case, so fingers crossed.Luckily that's turning into Olstrums best position . Him and Carter and hopefully Peterson to makes that a hell of a side. Those three kids are gonna get better every week as well .I'd love to see Morris on the end of a quick pass in a bit of time n space.PS Lupton did stand up. Some lovely kicking , tried to bust the line and some top notch bullet flat passes for tries.

I rekon we would have got 60 with matty
I'm suprised how easy we scored some of our trys. Yes Barrow made mistakes but so did we and costly ones at that but all in all a top show from us.

Me to . Quietly reading all the Barra fans here all week I was a little worried but they didn't really deliver after all that. And we weren't full strength and lost our most influential player mid game. Their defense was very porous and they were very lucky to only lose by 14 due to some very early chrimbo pressies. Great stuff !

Enjoyed it up at your spot today, couldn't argue with the result the best team on the day won. Matty looked very good till he went off, Thacks was a handfull as usual but I thought Phillips deserved mom, belting player. Good turn out from us Barrow fans and was great to be able to mingle with the Town fans, it created a cracking atmosphere.

Yes, best team won. We were awful, dropping the ball kicking out on the full from the kick off and giving away penalties.
There was a period in he second half when we just could not keep hold of the ball.
We can both look back on 2012 as a success, especially from where we both were back at the start of the season.
I really hope we can both consolidate because sure as hell next season will be a lot tougher than this.
See you in the play offs!
