A statement by the club has rubbished reports that it had finacial difficulties but did admit that due to a lack of home games a cash flow situation had arisen.
Seems we are not alone.

Its true to say there aren't enough league fixtures at this level, at least changes are imminent to try and address that. On the other hand the clubs have known their fixture lists for some time and ought to have budgeted accordingly.
So again not a good news story, but at least the Keighley chairman chose his words reasonably well and dealt with people's concerns in a respectful manner without resorting to an attack on his club's own supporters.

Strange though that their coach is leaving one year in to his five year plan.http://www.keighleynews.co.uk/sport/sportrugbyleague/rugbyleaguecougars/9864135.Keighley_Cougars_chairman_rebuffs_administration_rumours/

He has been offered a very good job in Aus.
He would be mad to turn it down.

The cynics on here would be quick to claim that we would be naive to think that it has nothing to do with the coincidental financial troubles....He has been offered a very good job in Aus.
He would be mad to turn it down.
