Horrible fans and rubbish ground DKW.Dont worry i will be at town and barrow just never liked the haven lot. They moan even if they win the league  .But my presence wont go amiss as we have the best away following in our league so im sure alot of coin will go to haven as we normally have more away fans than alot have home fans .But on havens defence it would'nt have bothered me a few years ago but ive got kids now and everytime ive been to haven {Which is alot} Its always been an hostile atmosphere maybe its changed but i dont want to take that risk with 2 kids in tow.

No hostile atmosphere at Haven mate, no different to any other club I have been to watch anyway. Think each club has its own fools or gobby ones, but think all 3 Cumbrian teams would be suitable for a family to visit.

Really? It has nothing to do with us winning over twice as many games as them and beating them at home and at their place...oh well whatever.

Good to see all three Cumbrian teams promoted lets just look forward to that.

Town 12-3 win lose. Haven 11-5 win lose, not quite twice as many, you have a game at Gateshead, so 13-3 then.

Was referring to Haven having won twice as many as Oldham (11-5) and the fact that we (Haven) only got promoted because Oldham allegedly imploded.

The topic is about the press coverage in tonights evening paper. That has nothing at all to do with Whitehaven RL only the Whitehaven fans who write the press coverage and their friend at Carlisle who edits the paper. Any fair minded person knows and can see what is happening and unless and until an official complaint is made to the Managing Director and/or the Press Commission, it will no doubt continue.

This is the second time this season that this has happened but I thought it had been sorted out. Obviously not.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

A common sense view, Haven don't print the paper or edit it.

My daughter stopped going to the Rec because of the hostile atmosphere. I've even been spat on in Whitehaven for wearing a Town shirt.

You lot have also gone very quiet on the disgusting behaviour of a Haven fan in front of a TV camera down at Barrow.

I stand by what i said. Oldham imploding saved havens bacon. Haven have been poor for most of the season but came good.

Can't remember any official complaining of been abused at a Haven Game, things about GH been abused have gone even quieter!

Yes, but abuse of the referee by a Haven fan was broadcast on TV. Not exactly a good advert for the behaviour of Haven fans , was it!!! And it was noticeable how quick the mods locked the topic over on your forum and yet the topic about the alleged abuse of GH was allowed to continue.

From what I have heard some of those that were accused of the "alleged" abuse of GH were no where near the ground when it is "alleged" to have taken place.

Don't forget, the Havenfanzine and Star chose to headline the allegations rather than the fact Town beat Donny that weekend.

What's the odds on Town winning all 3 remaining matches to finish top of the league on September 2nd and Haven getting the back-page headline on September 3rd.... Odds on I'd say.

We can make comments on here forever and a day and it will not do any good. How many of you have sent an e-mail to the Sports Editor, Phil Rostron, (prostron@cngroup.co.uk) setting out your complaint?

I sent one after the Doncaster game fiasco and received a reply saying my complaint was absurd and he wasn't going to waste his time debating it. That is the quality of who we are dealing with but if more people sent in their views he might just take a bit more notice although I doubt it very much!!!

Has anyone had a response from the N&S? If so I'd be interested to see how they could justify the obvious bias. I don't know about the actual paper but the web didn't even mention the attendance - possibly because it was twice what Whitehaven got!!!

I have to agree it very poor that the Town v Barrow game was not lead story, but I think the Raiders have had similar probs with NW Email over coverage with the footy getting priority. As they owned by the same group, it's maybe worth complaining to a higher level.
