A couple of links about C4's planned coverage. Looks like they're going to do a decent job.

oh god, does that mean I have to use Twitter? Have never quite figured out to use it!!
On that point, what's the difference in your post above between the @ and the #? Do I have to search differently?

Oh, I dunno. I think they've regretted the offer for the Olympics. When I started buying them they were in great supply and each set had its own accompanying Olympic decorated envelope. For the second batch I was told there weren't enough envelopes and they had become very limited in supply with only one batch being sent to my Post Office. I've now employed my Dad to keep checking at the PO for the next batch while I'm at work so that I don't miss out!I'm very angry though at the news that Paraolympin athletes who win a gold medal WILL NOT be getting a stamp. The Royal Mail have said its because of 'logistics' Absolute ######.

And I think we tend to win more golds at the Paralympics than the Olympics so I can easily believe they are scared of the logistics. But it's a shame they have taken the decision nonetheless.

I didn't realise until earlier this week that it was thanks to Stoke Mandaville (sp?) Hospital that we have a paralympics at all. Apparently the paralympics started in 1948 and the only competitors were us Brits and the Dutch. I think there are now 147 countries involved if memory serves (from the article I read). 1948 was quite an innovative year for us: paralympics, volunteers, gold, silver and bronze medals, and athletes in army barracks!Agreed. We are one of the strongest Paralympic nations, even without home advantage. But it's still a bit of a shame.

Which one are you? It's Stoke Mandeville and is why the 2012 mascot is called Mandeville. Wenlock is named after Much Wenlock home of the Olympians Society from which the nutty French Baron drew his inspiration for the modern games.
All the signs heading into Buckinghamshire proudly proclaim "Birthplace of the Paralympics".
