That I can think of:

Martin Crompton
Matt Calland
Warren Jowitt
Dave Woods

Who would you have? Out of that list I'd probably go for Martin Crompton

You could'nt afford calland but he would have been my first choice.WJ gets the best out of what hes got but hes a mid-table coach so i would'nt give him a phone call and crompton well whats he done coaching wise? So maybe it wont be any of them.

I think Crompton is probably the least proven of the four but I'd still be happy with any of the above. Only time will tell now.

We can not afford any of the above ....in fact we could not afford the petrol money to get them to training ............ not on attendances of 500 ......and next season that could be down to 300/400 .....and that has to cover a home game and an away game ...... no chance with any of the above .............. but we live in hope ......Id go for Compo ........ did a good job at Blackpool , but he DID have some good palyers there and some MONEY as well ......neither of which he will have at Oldham, or will any of the other three mentioned come to that ......lol .....

OK read the report. Guilty and fined for the offence. Matter closed. Or are all offenders going to be punished twice for their misdemeanors?

Still the best available man for the job!

And what's this nonsense from a Fev fan about wages? How do you know what he was paid, has been paid elsewhere and would want at Oldham? That's a matter for negotiation anyway.

Can NOT afford anyone of that calibre as already said ........... and in any case would any of those metioned want to come to Oldham with the existing playes that are already here ??? 3rd from bottom just above Gatehead and Wales, 2 regions steeped in years and years of Rugby League. . . The ideal candidate would be someone willing to do it for FREE ....just expenses ????

Have a look at the date mate - since then he coached Halifax to a Grand Final win surely this is more relevant to this particular topic than an isolated incident in 2008

BTW we can all make reference to historical articles in google allroughyed - stones in glass houses
