My choice would be....Dave Woods. History of getting the most out of clubs with limited budgets and getting promotion. Cas, Gateshead, York to name his successes. Good bloke to boot.
I would also like Matt Calland, as I still believe the youngsters are key to the success of this club, Matt has the experience, know how and respect of the younger players and has amazing success at Hopwood Hall and Fax.

It is not a question of who is available but who would want the job.

Can't argue with the comments above.

All the above (well,Woods,Calland,in particular) will bring a new approach based on success.Let`s hope that they will be interested as it`ll bring some positive news to the club.If CH goes for the cheap`n`affable route again -as is his right as the `owner` - ,let`s sadly admit that we`ll struggle next season and income will get lower and lower. The vicious circle.Your call,Mr Hamilton

I remember the same postings about wishlists for new coaches when Deakin went a few years ago.
We were hoping for a decent appointment then and got the cheap option in TB.
I was warned at the time that he wasnt up to the job because he had a fantastic squad at leigh and made them look average.

I really cant see a decent coach coming because we havent got the money to pay for someone.
I think the best we can hope for is a SL reserves coach willing to drop down hoping to prove himself.

That I can think of:

Martin Crompton
Matt Calland
Warren Jowitt
Dave Woods
Martin Roden
Who would you have? Out of that list I'd probably go for Martin Crompton

FIFY

Given todays performance,I refer thge right honorable gentlemen to my post a week ago.

I've said Crompton from day one. but after today's performance and the impressive way he motivated the team then Roden should have a bigger part to play. Still think the lads want to see an established coach with Roden playing a bigger part as well.Needs sorting soon though to get those to be retained to sign.

I've had it on good authority this afternoon that neither Calland nor Goulding will be considered for the role.

I doubt anyone will let anyone know is in the running or not, as it is a very sensitive subject. There is only one person that knows, and I can guarantee that he won't say anything to anyone until after the appointment.

Someone updated the rugbyleague project page of Ford yesterday and it says currantly coachs oldham .... It can't be refering to that time back in the early 2000's when he took the club for a short while. I thought Ford had gone to be an assitant coach at Bath RU but then again I could be wrong about it all.

It's hard to find news about the Roughyeds when you live so far away.

I'm sure it dates from years ago. Although it says it was last modified 26th Aug 2012 Sydney time???? I think that could be because his age is automatically updated every day.
