Re the Dewsbury game. According to the Batley News Walton kicked the ball downfield for Brown to chase and score. The Bulldogs website says Moore kicked the ball for Brown to chase and score. I thought that Brown kicked the ball before haring after it. Who is right?

There you go, it was right in front of me and I didn't see it, although to be fair I was talking to the missus at the time.

Brown was literally right next to him mate so it was difficult to tell. We were directly in line that's all so had a perfect view. It was Moore's left boot, which also explains why the kick was so accurate and well weighted!

Absolutly it was Moore who put in a precision kick for Brown to chase.

The Dewsbury players made a real hash of passing to each other and Brown nipped in and hacked it forward as I recall, winning the foot race very easily.

That was how I saw it BSJ. It was definitely a hack on of the ball that had gone to ground. If Moore was next to Brown then I will accept what others are saying, but the ball definitely wasn't played from the hand.

Ha well, at least the report in the Press agrees with me. It says that Brown hacked the ball forward. I felt sure that Brown got his right boot to it.
Thanks again for the clarification..............................I'm a bit wiser now...............that is unless there is another version of events lurking out there!!

I was at the tetleys stand side - looked to me like an optimistic fly hack that came off, I didn't think anybody else was near brown at the time. the depressing thing was the ease with which he won the foot race. Thanks for the replies. I wouldn't be too down hearted about a Dewsbury player not being able to catch him. There aren't many that can once he is open. The lad is rapid (but quite a bit slower than Potts at the same time).

So did I, from the South Stand, and without any relaxation assistant as well.

Unless you are a closet Bulldog fan BSJ it was right in front of us Dogs fans and when the try was given we raised our eyebrows coz Brown was in front of Moore (who kicked it) and it should not have stood!
