I'm told one of the tabloids has run this story today - permanent move to Gillingham from next season.

Can't find the story anywhere else - has anybody else heard anything about this?

Could be sole tenants if Gillingham FC finally get the move that Paul Scally wants.

If that comes about then I'm finally, and completely, finished with the club. They can stick Gillingham up their whatsits.

I hope so because there's no point bothering with Twickenham as it will be a slow lingering death with sub 1000 crowds in a couple of years.

And Gillingham will be what?

And Gillingham will be what?

A last roll of the dice. London in Super League has undisputably failed so either they need to try something new or give up. I'd rather the former.

Following in the grand tradition of London rugby clubs by not playing anywhere near London.

Good work all round.

Yes. It's saved dying rugby clubs before so makes sense.

Permanent move would require the pitch to be lengthened - won't happen. I think the same condition would apply to a move to Orient.

Sarries are moving back to Barnet. You can't get more Hertfordshire London than that.

Those that have moved rely on gimmicks and deep pockets. They're as screwed as they were before.

If London move out of London next year they won't finish the season.

i've heard whispers of East London or just outside London. Guildford was mentioned.. though the person who mentioned it to me could have confused Guildford with Gillingham. especially as Guildford has no decent sized stadia (to my knowledge)

i guess that would mean either a share with Orient, or with Gillingham FC .. no guesses to which one gets my vote!

If the pitch isnt big enough, how come there was a SL game there in May ( which I attended)?

Either it is or isnt big enough

Btw - if one game is allowed in a slightly dub-10 k ground why cant they all be?
