Indeed, can't see any other broadcaster showing as many games as prem so hope it's true. Saw it browsing around the web. It was on another forum, the poster said he'd been emailed that from IMG so as you say sounds promising.
Maybe by getting people like Brian noble and Aussie SL stars in a studio is the way they mean.

Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG

AndB.T won't start until later this year,so If they tried to get the nrl, they would miss half a season to start with.Things got to be sorted now, this is turning into a joke.

I did contact IMG who are doing the contact neogotiations for the NRL and World Cup rights, and I got a reply on Friday to say that Premier have got the NRL rights for 2013. Looking round on Facebook, a few other people have emailed them as well and got the same reply. Unless IMG are deliberately giving out false info, this looks like good news. As to why no official announcement has been made - who knows? Presumably Premier would want to announce this as soon as possible, so maybe it's down to the NRL themselves.
As for BT's possible interest, well, ESPN, despite rumours to the contrary, never showed any interest in RL. So if they're taking over ESPN's rights, as well as all the contracts for football and RU they've already agreed, it leaves them with a fairly busy schedule anyway. ESPN show the AFL on weekend mornings, so even if BT were interested in NRL presumably it would have to run alongside AFL, so you'd be lucky to get more than a couple of games a week. One advantage in Premier only showing a handful of sports is the amount of hours they can devote to them.
The lack of an announcement on World Cup rights is annoying as well, as only when the broadcasters are chosen can they sit down with the RFL to sort out actual kick off times for the matches. And only when kick off times are officially announced can a lot more people plan what games they're able to get to. There's even the possibility that one or two games may even have to change days to suit TV. Hopefully not, but it's happened before.

I believe all the rights from Oz are up for grabs, so perhaps there's been a few bids for the Origin series, which rated very well on Sky last year. And maybe Sky want to show the GF again, but Premier want it. Who knows? And then there's the internationals - hopefully someone will show them unlike the Aus v NZ test last October. Presumably the NRL wish to announce all the rights all in one go, but its looking like we wont hear anything til the last minute, as happened with the All Stars game.
And from what I've read elsewhere the TV rights for NZ haven't been announced yet, this for a country with its own team, so they're not exactly rushing these things along.

Its on the Premier Sport website as well. The Channel will now be showing 238 games of Rugby League this season.
Would they be able to afford the Super League contract and become a Rugby League channel?

Its an obscene amount of RL on there now! Very happy with this outcome, particularly the fact that every game is on tv whether live or delayed, just have to work out how i will go about fitting them in over the weekend!

Hate to suggest this but you might have to be selective, well at least on busy weeks!
... then there's going to be NRL Full Time as well on Tuesday nights, plus of course the Championship game each week.

The question now is whether to take out the 12 months subscription or subscribe for say the seven months or so of NRL.
I suppose the Extra cost that would be for the annual subscription would make the other months very, very cheap.

So each weekend will now consist of:
1 Championship Game
2 Super League Games
8 NRL Games
Potentially other archive grand finals/origin matches (lets assume 1 game a week)
So thats only a mere 16 hours of RL each weekend!
