- promoted side - knowing it was going to be tough
- really competitive against Featherstone,Halifax and Sheffield at Home (3 of the top four teams)
- beating Batley at home (the other top four team)
- on the down side we have performed poorly on a number of occasions but as previously said this is a tough league

Having (hopefully like most of us) enjoyed a fantastic Team GB performance and waxed lyrical about our achievements, I returned to my first love and went along to Featherstone and got brought back down to earth - but returning from a embarrassing experience I took a philosophical look back at our season so far:

Very well said.Having (hopefully like most of us) enjoyed a fantastic Team GB performance and waxed lyrical about our achievements, I returned to my first love and went along to Featherstone and got brought back down to earth - but returning from a embarrassing experience I took a philosophical look back at our season so far:
So with two game to go, both of which again will be tough I will adopt the Olympic attitude and say our season has been a relative success - we would have stayed in this league if relegation had been applied and I am sure the Club will continue to improve on 'work in progress' - naivety is not my barrow but I believe in positives not negatives

Yes, I'll echo Mark's comments
Oh yes, class of '63, I like your little picture of the great Graham Williams - for me easily the best uncapped Swinton player I ever saw on a rugby league field. Graham was international class without doubt.

I've said it on numerous occasions! This season is all about off field matters especially with no relegation.
