I did mention you had a weakened team! I'm not an expert on the York squad and have never professed to be - the report is on the Batley forum, the Batley website, and is aimed towards the Batley supporters! It became very apparent sitting near your supporters how many kids you had in your team, but only when the points started piling up! ^_^

No mention of our over 25s either! :@

Not really sure how mentioning ages of the squad would make the report even better but hey oh!

Won"t make the report better.Would put the match more into context. Not one of those 6 under 18s would have a played a game for us this season but for the crippling injury crisis we are suffering at the moment. To top it off it looks like another serious injury today aswell/

Dear me even useing Ben Dents injury to say Batley players lost concentration and saved us from a wider margin of defeat.Stooping pretty low.I would like to see any side in the championship cope with the crippling injury crisis we have had to.

why?

I think everyone thought York did well with their patch up team, and not one person as slated them, so why all this big ooh ah about a match report, written for Batley supporters, by a Batley supporter?

And as for your injury crisis, I think Dewsbury are in the same boat, if not worse off than York (I'll await for confirmation from a Rams fan).

Hang on a minute. We were 44-0 up on 61 minutes when Dent got regrettably injured. We scored just 6 points after the restart. It's not "stooping low" and I resent that comment. Anyone who reads my reports knows I try and give a balanced view - always have done, always will. I had nothing, repeat nothing, in my notepad to write about York today. Sorry if you don't like that, but it's the plain facts. As a scoreline, 50-0 tells it's own story.

I wouldn't get worked up Chairman. The match report is a fair reflection of the game. A team that got 0 are hardly going to fill column inches really!!!! As for the injury changing the game I think you reflected that well and fair! No ne likes to see those injuries and Its good to see on the YCK forum that the lad is well, but a 15 minute break in play always changes momentum (FACT). Hence when you here people say that half time came at the wrong time or they were better after halftime (I mean that in general sports, not today). You keep up with the match reports Chairman.......great work. York fans if you are concerned that the report is heavily weighted in our favour then read the Chairmans reports when we haven't played well.....very, very fair and honest opinions!!! It's unfortunate that you had so many injuries is year, and I agree with one of your guys that for next year you maybe in a stronger position now some of these kids have had exposure. Good luck for the last game of the season.

I always think chairmans reports are very fair but let's face it there wasn't anything he could have written about yorks performance today. Yes they had a weakened team and yes that was reflected in the score. As it's a batley report I would expect it to be more focused on the good and bad points of the bulldogs game. Not yorks. It's for batley fans to read about the batley players. If York fans want to read about positives / negatives with regards their performance I would check their website. I imagine someone will write one on there.

With regards to chairmans report I don't see how anyone can be annoyed with it. To be honest 50 - 0 speaks for itself.

As for the injuries. Every team has their share. Dewsbury are in as bad a way as any on that front. We've had plenty this year but managed to recruit additional players quickly. JK has looked over the season as a whole and expected injuries and compensated in advance for them.

Who's off to the shay? I believe on the 2nd sep?

I would assume all coaches look at the season as a whole for expected injuries and we had an Under 23's side to cover that, but when you have to draft in 6 under 18's, that is far more than the expected. Apart from 3 players, I believe we had no other player aged over 21 in the squad of 17 and we have just had to play the top 3 teams on the bounce. Also, do not think Batley supporters know enough about York's squad to realise the injury situation, while they will always be looking at who plays for Dewsbury and therefore notice names missing on team sheets.

You're probably right about that but all I am trying to say is that chairmans report of the game was a fair one.

A 50-0 scoreline does tell its own story. We were totally outclassed right across the park.No problem with that whatsoever.Sorry if i"ve offended you, just didn"t think your wording was particularly good referring to us possibly losing by a wider margin.Just seemed a little disrespectful to me.We are doing it seriosly tough at the moment and very few people from opposing teams seem to recognise this.As for Dewsbury, looking at there side that played the Hawks apart from a couple of players didn"t look to be suffering too much on the injury front.

By all accounts we could and maybe should have lost - had this been any kind of meaningful game with maybe a relegation spot at stake, those injuries could have made all the difference - and injuries are only one of our problems.

Don't think any team can top Hunslet's injury problems this season they really have had it bad.
