Despite some horrific performances this season I would have liked to see Bluey given another season.

Thoughts on the next coach? Can't say I am overly impressed with the suggestion that Kearney could get it. Having said that I wouldn't mind him picking up an assistants role.

I guess something had to give considering the current management has overseen a Warriors outfit that last season got to the Grand Final gradually lose it's way worryingly as the 2012 season progressed.

It wasn't just Ivan Cleary who left the Warriors last year - John Hart also left the club (as a result of the board's desire to let Cleary go IIRC). At the time I thought this was a huge loss to the club as he brought a great deal of credibility and stability to the the management of the club. He oversaw the change of the Warriors from a fairly ramshackle,under-performing, first grade team to a strong organisation - as evidenced by all three Warriors sides making the 2011 Grand Finals and the growth of junior/school RL in Auckland.

I was always nervous of the switch of coaches as I thought that the main motivation was emotional - get a "kiwi" coach rather than the best coach. It is a plan that has backfired.

If Kearney gets the job I won't be upset - he has the knowledge to to do the job and the support coaching staff is excellent. I don't judge him on Parramatta.....I think even Bennett would struggle with that club.....and I don't think there's anyone else out there who could do better.
