She says they are open at 12 and "we have really cheap drink with john smiths cask and smooth at £2.30, blacksheep at £2.30, fosters £2.40 kronenbourg and strongbow £2.80 and carling £2.90 so they can have a good blast before hand."

Sarah asks if I can post that her and Dave ( Sutts ) are hoping to be able to welcome fans down to the Punch Bowl in Lowther Street before and after the Hunslet game. The players are expected down there after the game and if any fans would like to join them, all are very welcome.

Good post Andy. Dave informed me the other week that he and Sarah had decided to "take on" The Punch now that their trial period had ended, and they are busy setting up darts, doms and pool teams as we speak.
They need as much support as poss so that it would be worth installing SKY to attract more sports fans and they are well aware of the pubs history as one of the leading R.L. venues in the area (happy days).
There was talk a few years ago about fans hoping to set up a Knights base in the city but those attempts floundered, what better place could there be than a venue run by a Knights player (providing Dave gets a contract)
Its just a shame that Spanish has left the city cos he used to have shares in The Punch!

The supporters club could have a race night or two there as well, they used to be a big function room upstairs, easy to get to from all over York hope Dave gets it, those were happy days Pete a couple of pints in the Punch then on to the ground and have another couple in the bar under the main stand, remember once when we played Hull and old Jack who used to run the bar said they took well over £300, thats when a pint was two bob.
