I am after a favour if any of you on here can help me out. Can you read the following and forward it on to the rest of your friends via facebook or whatever it is you young uns use these days J.
This is a cause close to Town fans hearts with the excellent work you have already done so I thought it worthwhile posting here but as many of you will have already given I fully understand if you cannot support this one.,
My 12 year old grandson Matthew Brown (a massive Raiders fan) is doing the Junior Great North Run in September to raise money for the Meningitis Trust.
His little brother Cavan contracted the Meningicocul Type B strain of this horrible illness earlier this year but has fortunately now made a complete recovery and is doing fine.
However, Cavan is a very lucky young boy as many children who contract this particular strain end up losing their sight, hearing or limbs or in many cases sadly die.
The Meningitis Trust is an excellent organisation that uses their funds to help the unfortunate ones and it is an excellent organisation.
There is a page set up on Virgin Money Giving and the link to Matthew’s page is www.virginmoneygiving.com/MatthewBrown11.
It would give him loads of confidence if some of the Raiders supporters sponsored him for what really is a very worthwhile cause.
I contacted Barrow players Liam Harrison and Mike Backhouse earlier today and already Liam and Aaron Low have pledged their support and Backy is going to collect from a number of players and make a donation. Thanks lads.
This really is a fantastic cause and all poor Matthew has to do now is complete the run in September LOL.

Thanks very much dkw.
After just 24 hours Matty has now been pledged £460 (inc gift aid) online plus he has another £200 plus on his sponsor cards - well over his £300 target. This kind of money will help the Meningitis Trust no end.
