How come Minichiello gets off that one?

It was serious enough for him to be sent off the field of play, but his lawyer has successfully argued that he was careless rather than reckless or deliberate.
The NRL rep said it was deliberate.
It did look nasty as Mini jumped up to deliver the contact with Duggan's head.
Consistency? Hmmm
Pretty lenient treatment for him while others contacting the opponent's head this season have been heavily punished.
OK he was sent off ... even so ...

I could maybe have agreed it was careless had it been his first attempt at a tackle but he hit him the first time which wasnt far off high, and then came back for the second attempt, which there is no escaping, was a forearm to the head and split Duggans face open!
I was amazed he got no ban, i cant really understand it.

i called red card as soon as i saw it.
it was barely different to travis burns red card a few weeks earlier, for which i think he got 4 matches. whereas the count will miss 10 minutes of play time.
so inconsistent!
