You don't see the irony then.

He was a decent player, as for a coach, how are we supposed to know?

i definetley see the irony, but Morrison isnt Jowitt now is he? Jowitt wasn't the best manager we have had but at least give Morrison some consideration, after all we may not even get him!

Nigel Stephenson, Lewis Jones, Garry Schofield................all good players. Do I need to draw a diagram?

Assuming it's not already a foregone conclusion, I'd have to agree. But I don't think it is going to be altogether about coaching ability. I reckon that we won't have a great deal of money to throw at contracts next season, so the new coach would need to have the ability and experience of working to a low budget and have good contacts in order to attract some decent loanees - the budget issue alone would rule out most ex SL or successful championship coaches. Somebody like frances cummings may be lacking in experience (except as an assistant coach), but he would have good and recent experience of working with the talented youngsters at leeds and bradford, and might tempt a few - he would be my personal favourite. At the end of the day though - I suppose it's nobodies business but Mark'sI'm not judging, just pointing out the irony.
However my opinion is that we need a proven coach. When they're not proven, as in the case of Andy Fisher and Warren, they get far too long when things take a bad turn.
Further, I think the demands of the Championship make it imperative that a club wanting success get a coach who can cope.
The coaches of the top clubs in the division have something in common - experience and lots of it.
The Rams had a coach who came knocking on the door of the play-off's. Not good enough. So if Mark wants to achieve his stated ambition of having the best run club outside Super League, then I would expect someone with a track record.

You're right of course GOR. And also, just imagine if we were actually consulted in the appointment how could we then bitch and moan when it all goes wrong.
That really would spoil our fun!

What happened to Ned and where is he now? I would have him back tomorrow. OK he spent a bit of cash, but he knew how rugby should be played and moulded a superb team spirit.Life is indeed bittersweet BSJ - if we didn't have to endure the lows, how could we appreciate the highs. If I didn't have something to moan about, I would know my life was perfect and therefore have nothing to hope for. Thats why I pitty the Rhinos fans - they unquestionably have the right to be the fans of the very top club, and can therefore never be satisfied with their lot. Rams fans are never quite sure what they are going to get from one season to the next, but look how giddy we get when it's a good one. New coach ? could be the next neil kelly, could be the next andy fisher - thats what i love about our club. Roll on next season - I can either have a good season or a good moan - what's not to like ?
