Hilary Arnold

Sadly I've got some terribly bad news for all those that knew Hilary, as she passed away quite suddenly earlier this week.
Hilary had been a big Swinton fan for way over 40 years, and prior to the Trust she had been heavily involved in the organisation of the Supporters Club for many years. I knew her as being extremely honest and trustworthy, with a great sense of humour and a great sense of justice.
I know that Hilary was desperate to see the Lions return to their rightful home. So let's hope our new stadium is not long in coming, as I think it would be a fitting tribute to Hilary and others like her who will sadly not now see the homecoming.
I'm sure all Swinton fans will join me in extending deepest sympathies to Dave Arnold and his family.

My mate Dave has asked me to pass on a few simple words regarding his wife, Hilary.

I think all Lions supporters will fully agree with your sentiments Steve. So very sorry for your loss Dave. I've been there too - only time helps with the healing.
The new stadium, whenever it arrives, should stand as a tribute to all the supporters who have sadly left us before seeing the ground broken and first brick laid.

Spelly.
Daily, my intense dislike of the Pinks, Rugby Yawnion, Manchester United, and far-right politics, grows ever larger, and will continue to do so forever more!
Question! What's the connection between Rugby League and Rugby Yawnion? Answer! There isn't one!
My girl-friend said to me "If you had to choose between me and Swinton who would it be?" I replied "You know the answer to that one without even asking!"
