I understand that times change and improvements need to be made, but it's sickening that the clubs on which this mighty game was constructed around is falling further and further behind whilst all the focus goes on these so called 'new teams' that can't even get off the ground!!!
This is just another example of Rugby League falling short outside the Super League.
I'm looking forward to the Championship next year, not only the teams that already contest it but the 4 teams coming up. Trips to Barrow, Workington and Whitehaven will make for great days out.
Unfortunately the 2 teams left behind ( Rochdale, Oldham) will suffer in this soon to be very poor standard Championship 1! Who wants to travel week in week out to London, North Wales, South Wales, Gateshead, Gloucester, Hemel Hempstead and ? ?
I would guess either John O'Groats Goats RL or Lands End Leppards RL will be announced as the replacement for Northampton Nothings lol.

a complete shambles ,we had the 3 stooges, now weve a dozen of them at red hall,we need someone to steer the shipDoes anyone else think it's getting a bit embarrassing with all this chopping and changing regarding promotion, relegation, constantly trying to get Rugby League outside the heartland etc?

Totally agree, and I think this is why we have to do everything we can next season to try and ensure that we don't drop in to that division.

There's a bit on the Oldham forum about the same topic that Oxford, one of the other clubs being touted for Champ div 1 have folded..........poor Oldham and Rochdale being in that league...Tragic
Oldham and Rochdale are in that division for a reason.

And to be honest Gav Hunslet would be in "that" division next year with Oldham and Rochdale forexactly the same reason if it wasn't for no relegation this year.Oldham and Rochdale are in that division for a reason.
