Last game of the season and we're at home so hoping for something special.

I reckon the only thing to guess at will be the attendance - with nothing to play for and many supporters fearing the worst, it could leave us with the seasons lowest crowd. Add to that the fact that the weekends weather might have given a fair number of folk the incentive to hit the road for one last blast before autumn - I don't reckon I'm going to get jostled much in the bar today.
You must have had your beer spilt then GOR with that gate of 1150. I reckon they were all standing behind me somewhere as I couldn't see them where I looked.
Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.

mmmm ! and with that crowd we must have made a fortune in car parking - strangely enough the fee collector seemed reluctant to give me a ticket. I waited for mine, whilst the half dozen cars behind me didn't bother - still I'm sure the outside contractor's employee concerned would surely not have pocketed the proceeds would they ? Not the first time this has happened this year BTWYou must have had your beer spilt then GOR with that gate of 1150. unless a club official actually counts the cars it could be a case of one for you one for me, easy way to top up your beer fund
And on the two occasions I`ve parked there this season, I didn`t get a ticket either
When I want your opinion, I will remove the gaffer tape

What did you make of the game ? I thought sheffield could and perhaps should have been out of sight by half time - they looked lethal every time they had the ball and had plenty of it. Second half was much better, but i still got the impression the sheffield lads might have had a punt on the score, because they seemed to find it easy to just keep that two scores cushion, at least until the last few minutes. We could still have pinched it, if we had anybody with a bit of vision in the backs. With a rams scrum on our twenty metres line, the sheffield fullback almost in the defenive line, and with akaidere having demonstrated several times he had the legs on the sheffield backs, the situation cried out for a big boot downfield and a kick and chase, but the halfbacks just shipped it on to the nearest marked player - as usual. Thought tebb looked for all the world like rob burrow at times with his jink and pace - I'd keep him for next year. You must have had your beer spilt then GOR with that gate of 1150. personally i enjoyed yesterday
the game was a rollercoaster ride of emotions,110% effort from the lads
Beans (as he's known to the sheffield fans)...mr broadbent to us,his making a positive difference to
our performances...and it can be see, never stopped yesterday did the lads to the last minute
very proud of the lads yesterday...nowt to play for but pride...and they did that
i dont go to watch my team win,i go to see them do their best,to give 100%...too win is a added bonus for me
and yesterday they did good
on the other hand
the match offical was a total c.ock missing countless forward passes, laying on,and even disallowing a try for us
when a sheffield player infringed...good game spoilt by an inept muppet.

Bit of a theme here, I didn't receive a ticket either, nor was I offered one.
I think the Club need to look into this. I'm not saying anyone has done anything wrong, but ......better safe than sorry.

I reckon the Sheffield fans must have been shaking their heads in amazement when we got within a couple of points at the end as they seemed to have dominated the game for so long. I was more than happy with the performance and commitment of the players involved even if they didn't end up winning, once again. Both Tebbs and Cosgrove looked like new players. It looks like PB has brought something different to the mix, as any new coach should, and I'd be perfectly happy if he does get the appointment for next year.
What I wasn't happy with was ending the season on one of the most pleasant and balmiest days of the year with at least two months of ideal RL conditions stretching before us.
On a last note, have we ever had four genuine hookers in the 17 before?

I doubt it would have been through choice - we did look a bit lightweight in the pack as you'd expect. They never gave up though to be fair.I reckon the Sheffield fans must have been shaking their heads in amazement when we got within a couple of points at the end as they seemed to have dominated the game for so long. our pack aren't big enough, although they did give 100%, they get tossed around though when playing teams like sheffield

Thought the way the boys stuck at it yesterday was nothing short of amazing. To be only 6 points down at half-time was a great effort and to keep coming back when the game looked lost was very impressive. All this with half a pack missing and having to play 4 hookers.
In the end it was a bigger stronger side who had the bulk of possession in the first half who won. Early on they looked like a SL team in size, speed and skill, so a great result from a team with nothing to play for.

Can only echo what everyone else has said. Amazed eagles weren't out of sight by ht. Had plenty of the ball but didn't do much with it. Was impressed by their fullback. Gonna be an interesting off season.
