I see York have just announced it will cost £176 for a season ticket (seats) next season, just wanted to get a general feel from our supporters on what they would be willing to pay next season? And what kind of benefits would be most appealing?

To watch Rhino Hawks about a fiver and you would still only sell 20.

£156 which equates to 13 games @ £12 each, entitles you 25% off in club shop and a voucher in back which entitles you to bring a friend to last home game of the season for a £5.

How about doing something different by selling books of 10 match tickets for £130-140, no specific games, fans get to choose when they use them, league or cup. If they bring family or friends they could use 4 tickets or so in one go, may even buy another book.

I know there will be people telling me why you cant do that, but am just trying to think of something different, to attract fans.

I know some lower league football teams offer "half season tickets" where you can pick and choose your games... could catch on??

I think the half season ticket is a great idea. I like the idea of having a set number of tickets which you can use all at one game or at at individual games throughout the season.I also think the bring a friend for a tenner was really well received last season and we had a lot of people using them.

Theres the ground size aswell,are the council gunna remove the lower tier seats to make it standing and seated upstairs,then you'd have to different prices,.......whats the ground size for Championship rugby next term........£12 to stand ......£15 to sit......

I dont think that this will effect current season ticket holders as we will pay out for our season again next year. This years cost plus 15% to include hist membership sounds very reasonable to me.

SO put the tickets on sale from now until 31st December at these give away prices and get some cah in and try and keep the support we have. Revert to a realistic price from 1st January 2013 ( say £130 )

Deluded springs to mind!!! If my memory serves me rite £50 season tickets at dewsbury didn't last long

A squad is about 26-- we haven't got anything like that number yet.
How many season tickets do you expect to sell then Blackpool ?
Two Super League clubs sell season tickets at £50.

Neither has any other club, Some clubs dont even know who their coach is going to be or what teams are actually competing in their league?

This is the first time i can remember the club actually proactively re-signing our best players before the current season has finished. Id say our supporters know more than many about the clubs squad and plans for 2013.

I'm expecting to sell more than we did this year.

Yes, and one of them is in administration and the other is bankrolled by a multi-millionaire.

If there are fifteen games then the price really ought go up proportionately, but £176 sounds a bit steep, especially for a club that's just had a poor season.

The Northern Rail cup is a knock out comp; next season and is not included in the season ticket as you may not get a home game.

I hope you do sell more tickets than 2012--- but please read, digest and understand my original posting. --- my cut price suggestion was only upto the 31st December then you can charge full price £130/£140 or £170 as York are reported to be doing.
Doesn't the club want any money coming in between now and the end of the year ?

I've read it again and digested it and to sell season tickets at a cut price of 70% is madness, and to then expect that supporters will purchase season tickets at full price after 31st December is even more crazy, Whos not going to not buy a season ticket for £50 then spend £130 on one??, i know i certainly wouldn't, id be queuing up for my £50 season ticket as soon as they went on sale, great from a fans perspective, business suicide from a clubs perspective, ask Bradford.

The club will have money coming in over the off season, just not on £50 season tickets

The only time cut price season tickets work is if you have a lot of floating fans who attend a few games. You want to entice them to every game so dropping the price works because you would sell a load more. Unfortunately the only people who would buy season tickets whether they are £50 or £150, are the same fans who always buy them. We need to increase the numbers but I don't think slashing season ticket prices is the answer.
