I agree mate its a cracking idea. Ideal for them supporters who may not be able to make every game in the season but possibly the odd 3 or 4, this way they still get the benefits of saving on standard match day prices but also get the flexibility to attend games when they can / want.

It's when to sell em aswell Gaz,you would'nt want away supporters buying a book of ten on match day,but i think there would be a loss of sale if the office was'nt open on match day, just a bit of fine tuning needed......

Totally agree mate, Id sell them before and during the season, but i think they would have to be a limit on the number of match tickets you could purchase, for instance limit it to 3 matches so you have to pay, lets say 3 x £12 £36 (saving £12) upfront to get you a book of 3 match tickets to use at 3 games of your choice during the season.

And it would be 1 ticket per match, so you you would never get 3 away fans coming in the office and buying a 3 match ticket booklet to use on the day to save them £4 each!

How would you implement that then? At the minute each match has its own numbered voucher. That won't be possible when anyone can choose which individual games to go to. What's to stop someone going through the turnstiles and then chucking the season ticket over the wall for his mate waiting outside?

And I know each season ticket is numbered, but the turnstile operator will need a pen and paper (or a fantastic memory!) to remember all the season ticket numbers that have gone through already ...

I would just av a blank ticket that the turnstile would retain and a serial No, that the office could check so there not re circulated.....that would be for the small books but the full season ticket just keep the same........

Given the extra games i think that £150 is a fair figure and maybe some incentive for those with kids so £165 for an Adult and Junior ticket. I'd have entry at £15 not £16 though. I used three of the bring a mate for a tenner this season so would like to see them retained.

I'd also like to see an instalment plan introduced so that people can spread the cost. Pay over 3 or 4 installments Sept to Dec. I think other clubs are offering this.

The block of tickets is a great idea as it the half season ticket. Maybe you could offer a package for the cup competitions once the fixtures are known.

Great to see the positive comments on here at the moment.

Still a lot of messy checking that will get on the nerves of both turnstile operators and fans, especially if the idea takes off, and there's a few folks turning up and queueing outside.

The best way to make it work is that each of these "partial" season tickets is actually a card with blank boxes on it (as many boxes as the number of games it is valid for). When the card is presented the first free box is stamped with the match number. The only check the man on the turnstile needs to do is that the previous box doesn't have the same match number stamped in it.

Either that, or we can install facial recognition software at the turnstiles

I would'nt av a date or team name on the small book ticket,.....so if you bought a 6 book ticket, you'd get 6 tickets in an envelope to use when you want, any game any date, and if the serial No is to much, then the turnstile retains half and the other half to the fan....what could be simpler than that.........

There is no easy answer to this, as we don't have that many floating fans, and we are stuck with the hardcore fans.

We're I live and the footy team I follow Hartlepool did do a system for season tickets to get fans back last season, as the season before crowds dropped to as little as 2000, and for aro footy team, that is worrying.

I'm not sure it would work with Hunslet, but here is how they did it, they set a deadline, if before at deadline they sold 4500 tickets every ticket was sold for £100 adult, £50 kid, 4000 it was £150, £50 kid, 2500-3000 £200, below at £250, after the dealing it was full price.

Like I say not sure it would work with Hunslet, but it could be a idea to think of, but with prices low allready, not sure how low we could take it.

I have now found following football and rugby, discount in the club shop etc ever works, may be instead a prise draw of some kind might be better.

What I would say to get fans back, the club after find some way of getting fans to the ground, like allready been said, no transport to the ground does not help, take the weather to day, who wants to walk up that bloody hill in the rain we have had, and be soaking wet before you even sit down tonwatch the match.

Yes, I agree, half season tickets are a good idea, or maybe multiples of 5 games, (if there are 15 games). Mates tickets too for a tenner, and 'Dad and Lad' ticket for a tenner too. Plus distribute tickets to local schools. We need to build up our fan base, so not too pricey.

I see York have just announced it will cost £176 for a season ticket (seats) next season, just wanted to get a general feel from our supporters on what they would be willing to pay next season? And what kind of benefits would be most appealing?

Blackpool

Knights ground standing ticket is £158, 13 home league games, £12 off replica shirt, free entry to all A-team games plus ability to pay over 4 instalments Aug-Nov, overall not a bad package.

Andy

Yes i agree it is not a bad package, it is still £38 more than we charged this year to sit though. I used the seating season ticket (£176) as a comparison because that's the only option we have at South Leeds, never said it was bad just wanted to use it as an example to try and get some feedback from our supporters on price and also benefits that they would want to see Hunslet implement in 2013. But as the club has stated we wont be making any decisions until the RFL confirm the league and cup format for 2013 and the number of home games.

WELL I was pleased to see that my original stupid suggestion of £50 for the season achieved it's objective and woke people up to start debating this.
May have missed it, but will admission still be £16 ?
So lets combine some of the ideas put fprward--- I would go for books of 4 tickets for £50 to be put on sale as soon as the RL confirm the fixtures and make a final decision if there is going to be a Championship 1 next season.
If so these books of 4 could be put on sale now, and would make ideal Christmas and Birthday presents, as well as revenue coming in during the off season. If people like what they see they would probably buy another book of 4 and so on through the season.
I don't mind setting myself up to be ridiculed it's all for the good of the club.--- now standing by for replies from the usual suspects.

'Admission Prices' have not been decided yet.

The ultimate aim is to get supporters to commit to supporting the club for the full season and purchase season tickets. So selling season tickets will be the clubs main priority, additional schemes around ticket initiatives will come off the back of this based on feedback and sales. Where still in August now so i dont think there is any rush to do anything for xmas which is 4 months away, these ticket initiatives need to be well thought out and not rushed into as it impacts club finances, relations with existing supporters and attracting new support.

But as you rightly say Frisky until the league and cup format is confirmed it would be silly to set any prices.

The person who buys a full season ticket should get the biggest saving, and the smallest book should be the least saving.........
