I remember Paul Aiton played at Sharks, but transferred to UK Super League side Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
Some other PNG players play in the UK too.
A well loved PNG player was a great player for my NRL club Melbourne Storm - Marcus Bai.
Three seasons ago we had two PNG players in our squad at my UK club in the Championship (Featherstone Rovers) - Jessie Joe Parker and Larsen Marabe.
David Mead is a Papua New Guinean playing for Gold Coast Titans in the NRL

I have a friend in PNG. According to him, all quality players in PNG go to Australia to play in the NRL, and the PNG national team is not strong because they lose many players to Australia. Is that true?
Quite a few players from PNG go to Australia, but most often play at a lower level than NRL. Their national team (the Kumuls) have been weakened recently by internal politics, not by PNG players switching allegiance.

"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore
"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes
