Last night on BBC4, More old Jews telling Jokes. Great fun, and surely one of the cheapest programmes to make there's ever been.
"Journalists are meant to be neutral, for God's sake." - Stephen 'Wiggy' Jones
"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore
"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

I'm really enjoying Michael Portillo's Continental train journeys. Amazing scenery, loads of historical content and some interesting characters.

I watched a great film on Sky last night ... The Debt, starring Helen Mirren as a former Mossad agent.

It's ok. I've thought of an even better alternative. Pub.

I'm sure there are a fair few on here that would have enjoyed Speed Dreams: The Fastest Place on Earth, last night on BBC2.
It follows six British teams and their speed record attempts, five on bikes, one in a car. A lot of footage of hairy blokes in sheds, tinkering with a pretty wide range of machinery.
The first episode ended with them arriving at the Bonneville Salt Flats, so next week we'll see whether they succeed or fail.

I enjoyed the programme about the 50th anniversary of the recording of the Beatles first album.
Joss Stone is a good singer but a moron.
beverley Knight blew the whole thing to bits with Twist and Shout, and it was good to see half of the Mersey Beats back together-very underrated band.

Been really enjoying "wonders of life" having this on straight after "Africa" finished the BBC have been spoiling me recently. They really do those types of programs so much better than anyone else, the camera work on Africa was out of this world.
"surely they've got to try somthing different now, maybe the little chip over the top?2
