Gailer is in France at the moment but Radio Cumbria's John Cox has just said that Calvin told Gailer by telephone in Paris that there was no longer a new contract for him.

It makes you wonder just what the contract contained when Gailer has had it a week or more and not signed it because of a couple of points he wanted cleared up!!!!!
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Contract there .. Contract back again . Bizarre . Bad news , he was taking them on the right path for us. Could be good for them as we know what happens when teams sack their coach! Whos up now for coaching England's only NRL standard team? And what happens if Harold hasn't got a garden...Poor lad

I've heard Tony smith is thinking of finally taking the step up and coaching the countries big boys. He's been quoted as saying 'i can't wait to be told how to do my job by such a legend in the game as Lee doran'.

If only Ricky Stuart had delayed and not taken the Parra job...Doran can now lead his ragtag bunch to heroic playoff defeat.

From what I have heard today, things did not go well on the haven big wembley weekend!
Not only were they beaten well by the Skolers, there were players behaving like drunken yobs, club members and players slagging off the coach on twitter, friction between fans and directors (not you Goodwin, your just Duran's stooge), I'm sure there's more to come :D

The Whitehaven board are doing a good impression of people who dont have a clue how to run a professional rugby club!
