Did it all kick off or something?

WUM banned presumably-ie the juvenile purporting to be a Japanese sports fan asking questions about RL etc requiring long answers. He managed to fool a few.

Exactly. That was the giveaway.

That was the weirdest troll I've seen on here (with the possible exception of Footynutz who was just a mentalist)
Absolutely bizarre behaviour. Kept giving himself away near the end though and became too obvious. Funny but not 'ha ha'.

I haven't seen what he was up to today but he seemed harmless enough (a bit repetitive though). I couldn't make out whether he was genuine or a troll (I suspected the latter but gave him the BOD), or whether he was, in fact, Japanese (although his tweets as shown on the LRL front page were made in an oriental language).
What puzzled me, though, was his interest in Partick Thistle (as shown in his personal details). For a Japanese national to understand the humour associated with such an allegiance would be quite something.

That's why it was so bizarre. Putting status updates via some sort of Google translator to keep up the 'joke'.

Ah, is that what he was doing? What puzzled me, though, was that he wasn't being that offensive (from what I saw), which I thought was the point of trolling.

That's just my view of it and I agree he wasn't offensive. It just seems a rather elaborate way of posting a few mildly irritating posts.

Some trolls are more subtle than just being insulting and hostile. This one appeared to get a kick from wasting people's time. I've come across people like him who use other communication media.

I have a suspicion that he was the guy purporting to be from Italy who posted briefly on here a year or so back. He picked out the worst parts of RL, like scrums, and asked all sorts of questions hinting that Union was far superior.
Anybody remember him or his name?, been trying to think for ages and it's annoying the hell out of me.

"I don't see what all the fuss is about. I mean, it's only fair after last year isn't it? Look Neil, just for you, I've put my best Rovers' tie on today in the hope it'll go some way to make up for it. Oh, by the way, Jon sends his regards."
