With the Co-Op division and also Super league academy seasons only a few games away from end of season wonder how many of theses players will be back playing for NCL clubs in the coming weeks?
Should it be allowed? I know that Skirlaugh are bringing a couple of ex players back into the fold to help the relegation battle.
Know they are allowed to do so but this must give some teams an unfair advantage coming into the business end of the season.

Logic should be that there is a "deadline" that ex pros cant sign on after as that will give clubs an unfair advantage and keep them up when they plainly dont deserve to!
Forget Chuck and Chad I am the real legend killer

The NCL operational rules cover this scenario and can be downloaded from the NCL website
From memory I believe the relevant transfer date is this friday 31st August ( could be wrong there ) so after that effectively it's only bona fide amateurs not previously registered within the NCL this year that can join.....................

Check the obvious place on the NCL site under Downloads / operational rules http://www.nationalc...co.uk/downloads
OP2.0 Playing – Ex Professionals
OP2.1 Each Club may play no more than 4 (four) non contracted ex-professional players at any one time although they may register with the League an unlimited umber. Permit Players are not allowed to participate in games under the League’s jurisdiction.
OP2.2 Players who return from the Professional Game shall not be counted in this respect if they rejoin the amateur Club with whom they were fully registered prior to the signing of contractual arrangements or, are aged 21 years or under upon their return to the amateur ranks.
OP2.3 A Professional Player is not allowed to register with the National Conference League until all contractual arrangements are completed or otherwise terminated by mutual consent of both the player and Professional Club, full details of which to be confirmed in writing with this League at the time of registration.
OP2.4 Once two calendar years have elapsed from the confirmed date of a Player’s registration with the National Conference League then the Players shall not count as an ex-professional.

Look at OP3.5 as well on the above link. That covers end of season signings.
I'm fairly sure the date passed yesterday but the NCL administrator will have that info for any club secretary needing to know
