Like I've just posted on our forum. It gives me a warm glow that Batley got 2 points from games v Fev. Those 2 points might just be the ones that gets Batley 3rd and relegates Fax into 4th!!!! Wouldn't that be a shame

I remember when he was with Salford in the Championship and he was all for prom + relg,...soon as they got Super League he was all for pulling up the drawbridge on Super League......Weak mind games. Odd that he offers this opinion in the week leading up to a game against Batley, and then names Batley specifically in his rant. This man needs a dose of reality. Alex Ferguson, he ain't.

Seems he's another victim of the arrogant superiority bug that's reached epidemic proportions this last few seasons.
To quote Kevin Keegan - 'I WOULD LOVE IT IF WE BEAT THEM....LOVE IT!!!!'

There's nothing wrong with the idea of bonus points IMO, it's the way the RFL have implemented them that is the problem. The current system encourages a defensive mentality in sides of limited ability, but doesn't reward those who's game relies on open flowing rugby. Rugby union, for all it's faults, have improved their product (whatever BSJ says) by introducing a system that gives 4pts for a win, 2pts for a draw, 1 BP for scoring four tries or more and 1 BP for losing by seven points or less. The system rewards attacking play by both sides, but where close rivals play each other, encourages defensive capability to deny each other a BP. It's only drawback seems to be that you get the same points for say a 40 - 35 loss as you do for a draw. The general idea is right though, and maybe a limited side "giving it a go" in pursuit of a BP would be more entertaining than attritional defence toward the same end.All read too much into it. He will have been asked the question in an interview and gave an honest answer. The point he is making, which is extremely valid, is that the bonus point was brought in as a trial, it obviously doesnt work, or it would have been adopted universally, and seems to have been forgotten. Batley have earned their league spot by playing to the current rules, however this really needs changing back to the same scoring system in every other league. Here's to a good, competitive game on Sunday.

What an assclown. I can't believe for a SECOND that he 'wasn't allowed' into our bar after the game. His brother is our Chief Executive, and it simply isn't Kevin Nicholas's style. I was in fact informed by various people 'in the know' that Mr.Harrison ordered his players back onto their coach immediately after leaving the dressing rooms, and stormed off like a spoilt child - never even attempting to enter either of our bar areas. As for the 'pushed and shoved' bit - give me a break. Obviously, it's his word against Kevin Nicholas' in regard to his alleged efforts to sign up to 11 members of our squad at the end of 2011, and the alleged snide way he left the club which - if true, was deliberately designed to restrict and hamper our efforts to sign up key members of the squad for 2012. Not wishing to say 'I told you so', but I remember posting some time back that the individual concerned was snide and disingenous - only to be met by a barrage of posts that slated me as being bitter and ungrateful about someone who did great things for our club. It turns out I was right all along. Good coach yes, top bloke - unequivocally, no. I'd urge all connected with our club to ignore these pathetic attempted mind games from this idiotic character.
