Well from dave bowdens report in today's paper it looks as though we can only really add Brett Phillips name to the side for Sunday. Not sure about bamber but I would expect him to play as well. Bowden is honest And says we wont be able Improve much on the 13 fit players that were there on Wednesday night. But with them 2 coming back at least we might have 17 players who can run. I would expect the town side to be
1.calderwood(god help us)
2.gus
3.stack
4.jp
5.Mossop
6.forber
7.Bamber
8.coward
9.olstrum
10.thacks
11.Phillips
12.shacks
13.annakin
14.cotter
15.whitehead
16. Mcavoy
17. Gaskell

I would put Gus at fullback and Calderwood back on the wing. We can only pray that we don't pick up any more injuries.

Yeah I would do that as well unicorn, but if we will or not then that's another matter. If you add Morris and walne into that it's not a bad side but theres no indication of them playing

Sounds like Bowden's exasperated with the dualreg to wonky.

Good, hopefully we dont do it next season as its all massively biased towards the SL club. We should at least have 2 weeks notice of them not being available, give us a chance.

Yep they ain't doing you any favours . It gives their players games and improves them for when they're needed , or it puts them in the shop window for selling. It's all about we're in charge and you get told when we're ready ( probably Friday ! )

Considering we have hardly any fit men and the hornets are all banned, why don't we just organise a game of 9s, were pretty good at that

Why don't we just call it a draw instead and all of us have a pub crawl crawl around Worky

Deadline signing day as been and gone so you have to finish the season with the players you have registered.
Success does not consists in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.

Well walne played for Salford tonight and petersen is in the kr squad so that's 2 bodies we can't count on this week. Who knows about Morris but let's hope he holds his hand up and comes and helps out the boys.

we did a few year ago when we got george in from seaton on trialist forms, i mean if the players injured are out for the season surly the rugby league will allow this, its just daft with money at stake

Some teams put money into development to bring through players for the future, which at this level is the way to go.Even more so next season when there will be very little money in this league.Word is we will have 8 players aged 19 and under in the team tomorrow who have come through the u23s team. That will be the backbone of the team next year.
The same way Oldham are bringing through young players up through their junior sides into their very successful u23s side.
That way both clubs have not had to bring in duel registration players to make up numbers only to see them recalled at a moments notice by their club

And both teams are in the bottom division next year while the four who recruited for the present got promoted.Investing in potential is fine , but quality in the present pays dividends , and regardless of the whispers our board do it while still running a disciplined ship.

Wasn't having a go at any of the other teams, wish we had got promotion, but if has you say you are struggling for players then surely having a larger pool of players would be the way to go, with out relying on other teams players who can be called back at a minutes notice leaving the borrowing club short.
In my opinion and it is only that, you need to develop a longer term policy and do it within budget, that is not to say any of the four promoted teams have spent beyond their means.
Hopefully all four will grow, within the Championship only time will tell.
Good Luck in the future see you all tomorrow.
