Just a basic hard game pal, ref lost it a little around the play the ball but in general a clean game, neither team displayed anything to shout home about, Nevi completed a lot better than us but we where short of a few regulars but thats no excuse, you play with the 17 on the team sheet.

Check up when Doncaster teams traditionally put in for a rest week This holiday period stems back to when Doncaster had 10 pits on the go and they all closed together for a weeks holiday and because of this we played by the rules and played a first team fixture but asked for a free weekend for the second team On top of this we are carrying a few injuries from pre-season friendlies and training injuries.

But Hey Ho, the fixture went ahead with 17 players on the team sheet and many more watching (Did notice a few from Fev Lions playing for Nevi thou Including Cliffton a Moorends Old Boy, watch out for a transfer before the end of the season)

No suprise that they couldnt raise a team at the weekend! I think alot of them moved from the Lions when they where accepted into the NCL and came back after their respective winter leagues finished. Guess it's back to their winter clubs again now!

Weren't Fryston and Sharlston the 2 teams involved in that abandoned game last year? Suprised the Shalston lads are happy about having these men as team mates now

OK, we play at Clayton RLFC now, Pennine league and handbook not updated but our sec will confirm but just so you know. Dunno if you've been before but loads better facilities for us!
