Not his fault Ayre showed incompetence in transfer window
Rugby League is a sport that desperately needs to expand its geographical supporter base and its player base. This imperative means that all other requirements are secondary until this is done.
All power in the game should be with governing bodies, especially international governing bodies.
Without these actions we will remain a minor sport internationally and nationally.

Looks like Rogers isn't too happy. However, the interesting bit at the bottom of the article is that Didier Drogba may become available as he isn't happy in China. I'd snap him up as a Liverpool fan; exactly what the team needs up front at present...

Probably but it depends on what his transfer status is. If the Chinese club revoked his contract (can't see it happening), he'd become a free agent...
Not sure on Owen, he's never fit and too lightweight.

I'd rather have a 18 stone Fowler than Owen

The RS chances of getting Drogba are nil, blaming Ayre is a bit limp also, why did'n they up their bid for dempsey by £1m they'd have got him, instead they packed up on deadline day at 9pm and melwoods gates were shut.Trouble times at Anfield me thinks "king kenny" was'nt the messiah,in fact he's set the club back years with his 4 "Marquee signings" which cost £100M .
If owt happens to bucky o'hare(either suspension or injury) their goosed as Borini looks like he could'nt hit barn door(£10m) and the after that theres nowt,
Well there is Stevie G who's going to be draining £150k per week for the next 3 years, poor Brenda bet he wishing he'd stayed at the swans

Liverpool thought they'd go in late with a low bid for Dempsey and Fulham would have no choice but to accept ti. What they hadn't bargained for was Spurs selling both vd Vart and Modric and being unable to secure any of their first choice replacements. One club desperately looking for a player, a player desperately looking for a club (after burning his bridges at his current one) plus an agent desperate to engineer a lucrative move, equals Dempsey going to Tottenham. And Liverpool stuck.
Mind you, I don't believe this nonsense from Rodgers about only having 19 players at training. Liverpool have an enormous squad, mostly rubbish of course, but they've got lots of players.

think managers go in to these jobs because the club is so huge not that its a great team they are taking over, with the thought that "its liverpool" so it cant be bad.

after reading the press release today seems they were confident they would get Dempsey or Sturridge, but Fulham obviously miffed at the pool for unsettling Dempsey stood firm for the price they quoted Villa.Yes Carrol is still their player but the terms of the loan agreement mean they cant have him back until january at the earliest.
Seems Brenda has spent the transfer kitty on Allen and Borini and he had to off load Carrolls wages before they'd let him sign anyone else. The new guy from real madrid (loan) seemed to have no pace whatsoever having been left for dead by Diaby.
Funny thing outside Anfield today SSN spoke to 3 supporters,2 sounded like southerners and the token scouse blamed th eprevious management without naming Him (kk)
