Early days, I'm confident that by Easter we'll be clear of the relegation zone
Rugby League is a sport that desperately needs to expand its geographical supporter base and its player base. This imperative means that all other requirements are secondary until this is done.
All power in the game should be with governing bodies, especially international governing bodies.
Without these actions we will remain a minor sport internationally and nationally.

We lost the plot after finishing second under Benitiz. We ended up signing Spanish La Liga squad players rather than a mixture of wprld class players and producing our own. Continuity is key. I'd give him time and plenty of it. we have to move on from Gerrard in the next few years and who will replace him? I've never been big on Reina yet he keeps his place continuously.
O boy don't get me started.

Heard Darren Gough going on about Liverpool this afternoon on Talksport, thinks they have a chance of premier league in 4/5 years if they manage to get the stadium capacity increased to 60k min. then a fan came on to say they can't do this without moving because of the surrounding houses.
This doesn't make sense to me, as a small-time property developer, from what I have investigated on Zoopla? There looks to be about 20 houses on Lothair Road, with values averaging £80K on the generous side, total value somewhere around £1.6million. Looking on a satellite picture, if these houses were purchased at 50% over value, and demolished, it would probably be a total cost of less than £3m to have a clear site to build a new main stand with much greater capacity. Likewise with the properties behind the Anfield Road end, if the council would agree to anfield Road itself being moved a bit to the north. I have heard about stubborn house owners, but surely they have their price? The cost of purchasing these properties would probably be less than what was paid for Borini before his wages? The cost of redeveloping Anfield would then be much less than building a new stadium elsewhere.
Is there some other obstacle I don't know about, not being a Scouser?

That referee had a 'mare today. Never a sending off, especially considering Van Persie's studs up yellow card and it was never a penalty (which Reina nearly saved!). Liverpool will eventually have a bit of luck this season...

Thought the sending off was fair, and perhaps van Persie should've gone as well. I thought Liverpool were the better side which says how poorly Man Utd played. Also that was as clear cut penalty as you are likely to see (were you watching the same game?). Watched some of Man City v Arsenal afterwards, they would've put at least three past both Liverpool and Man Utd judging on today's game. That referee had a 'mare today. Thought the sending off was a bit OTT (NO PUN)Evans was high too, yellow would have been my choice for both, seems Shelvey was not happy with some of the MANU players calling for a red instantly(Ferdinand).Thought the sending off was fair, and perhaps van Persie should've gone as well. RVP'S was 1 footed and it were'nt OTT,Two average teams on todays performance, but the champions were'nt much better because if Gervinho had any talent City would have been well out of it.
Oh and if Lescott is England class i'll eat my hat, apparantly Robbie Savage commented that whilst chasing after the ball he appeared to be towing a caravan, haha, how ironic from Robbie

Got to agree and didn't the Man U player go in with two feet as well? That referee had a 'mare today. Never a sending off, especially considering Van Persie's studs up yellow card and it was never a penalty (which Reina nearly saved!). Liverpool will eventually have a bit of luck this season...

Clear cut penalty, the guy was diving before the Liverpool player got near him.Thought the sending off was fair, and perhaps van Persie should've gone as well. I was the only one of our party not drinking. Watched the game with three United fans and one Liverpool fan. The Liverpool fan thought it was a penalty.
So he was drinking?!

Nice to see some Liverpool fans on Twitter making offensive remarks sbout the ref and his cancer ordeal due to some bad decisions in a game.
Some fans should understand that respect goes both ways.
