....it's back to Cumbria next Sunday to face 'Haven. It's a while since we've managed to get a win up there, but with some of the lads back from suspension and other personal absence this week let's hope we can turn that record round!

Just been thinking Mal. If you win at Haven and Town beat your neighbours you will have to then come back to Workington in the next game.

AND, IF you win at Worky and Barrow lose at Doncaster you would then have to travel to Cumbria again for a third game on the trot!!!!!!! Four games even with today's!!!!!!!!

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

In that case it would be cheaper to move house to the Lakes

Did the new young players play well enough to feature in the Haven match?

Without doubt a couple of them went very well and weren't phased and will be a great addition to the 2013 squad should thety choose to remain at Hornets? It would be unfair to name them, as one or two of the others weren't quite up to that level yet although they certainly gave their best, but those who attended will know who they are!

If you listen carefully enough on sunday, you'll hear us lot celebrating a win up the road from you. Good luck to you against haven, nothing would be better than a good old end of season derby at your place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The support was terrific, I thought the Hornets 'Noise Machine' had returned from a few seasons ago? It was well appreciated by the players, keep it up for whatever of this season is left and bring it back in 2013 :)
