Well mid-season I was getting very worried that we wouldn't win anything this season, well how wrong I was, Wooden Spoonists and boy didn't we win it in style today ! You could really tell that some of the lads were really up for winning this today and they didn't fail.

From start to finish on and off the pitch it was farcical, as for 15 min delay whilst someone ( well a full entourage)decided how to fill a hole in a soil and grass pitch, why not just go behind one end, dig up a piece of turf and apply to the pitch, oh I suppose you'd need a bucket and spade for that, bucket wasn't the problem. Half time brought our own version of X-Factor, hilarious, longest version of either song I can remember played over the 'Norman Collier' tannoy and probably sounded better for it..........................probably worst season I can remember for a long time, only slight positive was seeing how poor Hunslet were as well and they have signed up13 of the 17 on display today for next season, god help their faithful fans as well next season, unless Sugar Daddy Hetherington bails them out with some Whinos wannabees.

Positives:

Today thought Sully had a great game when on the pitch, Bush was immense and really has progressed extremely well over last 2 years, Jack Lee gets a lot of stick from some but personally think he is a very good player, but needs more quality supporting him.

The first half did no-one any favours, particularly as the RFL were in attendance.
The second half was good entertainment even if the quality wasn't the best. Great hit by Oaksey on young Poutney that cost us a try but the youngster did brill to get on the end of CT's kick for his second try. Thought Sully was MOM with Bushy close behind.
Pity CT couldnt go out on a win but has been a cracking player during his 16 years of pro rugby and very best wishes for his future, particularly at the Giants.
Had a very interesting conversation today with JG today about some rule changes and how it might pull teams towards a more even funding of squads. If it's so, it will certainly hurt a couple of the C'sp high flyers.
Heard lots of rumours about new players, some that excite me, others that time alone will tell ( don't ask, you'll have to wait and see ) but, all in all, good riddance to the 2012 season - it certainly did the Knights no favors at all and I just hope that once the new squad is assembled. that some of the stay-at-homes will be tempted back.
