If Faal does leave I would be very disgruntled. The club have stood by him throughout a series of injuries and have effectively revived his career so that it is only during this season that we have seen him play to his potential. I know that expecting loyalty to count for anything is not realistic but I would have hoped that he did feel indebted to the club in some way.

My memory not being what it once was, and I am sure someone will correct me, but didn't we pay for his operation when he first came to Dewsbury?

three seasons to get him fit and now he's off by the looks of it. He's always going to be injury prone though, so I'm not sure he'll get too many big offers. My memory not being what it once was, and I am sure someone will correct me, but didn't we pay for his operation when he first came to Dewsbury?

All sorts of rumours knocking about (as ever) Apparently Craven is Fev bound along with Crossley?

Well with it being Batley, it doesn't suprise me, all they do is poach our players off of us, there is always going to be someone crossing the valley to play at the mount, thats being a repeat thing for a few years

Can't beat them for wanting to play at a club that's going to be in the play off mix, and at the MOMENT we are far more likely to be in that position than you.
That isn't an attempt to wind Rams fans up as it may well change again shortly with roles reversed, like it seems to do with Heavy Woolen dominance, but just a stark reality of life.
Interesting though that you approached 2 current Batley players at the end of last season, and offered them more money, yet they chose to stay. So on the odd occasion there is still some loyalty in the game.

Who were the 2 batley players?

Don't really want to say on here Ramite. It isn't fair on the players in question.
It is a fact though not an attempt to stir or rumour spread.
It was actually 3, but only 1 obviously signed, ie George Flanaghan.

Fair enough was just interested to see the type of players WJ was looking at.

What I will say is that they are both first choice Batley players at the moment,, and pretty good ones at that.
So can't fault WJ for trying to get them in the slightest.
Maybe the Kear factor won them over, who knows.

Ayden Faal to Batley? Would make sense. He's been playing well this year, if it's true it's a shame, but he must of been carrying an injury throughout this season, because he's had surgery as soon as WJ left. Surely that says something about WJ's approach to player welfare.
I still think Craven will stay though. Steve Crossley for fax not Fev.

Pretty certain bretherton wouldn't have joined batley had it not been for wj - however I bet he is glad he did. Batley have progressed massively over the past 4 seasons both on and off the field. Whereas Dewsbury have fallen well behind.
The announcements at the fans forum with regards to the on field developments could do with being on a par to when we signed Maloney/Rogers/Sheridan, etc to give the club a real lift.
Off field it would be nice to develop the ground like batley have done at mt Taliban

Well given the rigorous nature of the salary cap they can only be going to Batley out of a deep passionate love for the club. Given their squad this season and the number of games won, hence winning pay, and comparing it with their attendances then their players must be getting low wages.
I suppose it must be the superior lifestyle that Batley offers - money isn't everything of course, as every true Yorkshireman knows.

Like we stuck by George Flanagan thro' his dealings with the magistrates, and his ban from RL, even being represented by the clubs chairman, and what does he do ----sign for Dewsbury, and you talk about loyalty--wake up and smell the coffee--it don't exist Coolie.
WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO SWIPE THIS?

were they doing it out of the kindness of their hearts? Presumably he was injured whilst playing for the club.
Faal owes them nothing.
If the club had thought there was nothing in it for them would they have been 'loya'l to him?
It isn't about 'loyalty' and it never has been: check your history.
edit: wont his treatment have been covered by insurance?
