You join the scum you dont come back.On a serious note hes spoke to Dewsbury speckies how he ows us loyalty. What a @osser we will show u loyalty on Boxing Day you Judas.

Nice to see some typical Equalizer style passion/ vitriol;)!

If you want to turn out in your numbers to boo Mr Faal on Boxing Day feel free. It will be nice to see a few more Rams fans than the 100 (being generous) or so you've brought to the Mount for the last 2/3 years.

And before anyone says anything I am aware your home support is probably a 150-200 stronger than ours. Your away following, especially for derbies though recently has been shocking.

Be good to see some real intense, passionate derbies agan played in front of at least a 2-2.5k crowd.

Players come, players go. It's a short career and not especially remunerative.

We'll support the ones wearing our shirt next season and boo the rest. What we now need is for GM to use his connections and unearth a couple of unsung gems for next year.
Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.

It would be nice if we could get some so called fans out of the pub and upto the Mount on a more regular basis.

And that's Batley 'fans' i'm referring to!

Look a players ultimate loyalty is to his family.Perhaps one day we might get one of our old boys back from Batley. However has a player if your going its their career and i have no problem. What got me going was all this loyalty ######.A F gave one lad the ultimate verbal commitment while he knew he was going.

If Aayden Faal has done that I can understand the Ram's fans feelings then.

It's similar to how alot of us felt last year when Paul Handforth stood up at a club function and said he wasnt going anywhere, then signed for Halifax a week later. Hard not to leave a sour taste really, however pragmatic people maybe.

I can imagine players are limited as to what they can say in terms of contracts, etc, but at the same time perhaps it's better they said nothing at all then, rather than running the risk of totally misleading fans.

As his player sponsor for the first 3 years at the Rams and someone who spoke with him on a regular basis, I am extremely disappointed with Ayden's decision to move to Mount Unpleasant.

In recent conversations with me (after the Batley home game), he did say he was happy at the Rams, did not wish to speak to other clubs and also that GF was enjoying his time with us. He
is obviously a good Liar as it now seems perfectly clear why he stopped playing for us to have his wrist operation to be fit for pre-season with his new team as the deal had probably been done.

However, after learning the news about his signing on Saturday, he completely ignored me after the game on Sunday as he would probably be aware that I knew. The Loyalty and support that the
Rams and particularly MS have shown to him through his troubles now seems to be completely worthless and any respect that I had for him has gone. GF used us for this season to make a point and
he has obviously persuaded Ayden to join him at his new club.

I have refrained from posting until now so that I may give a reasoned opinion and tried my best not to mention the word Judas (Ooops!).

Can understand your feelings about AF as per my previous post.

As for GF think your being a bit unfair IMO. He was offered a contract through his agent last year at Batley, but unfortunately his agent neglected to tell him of the deadline for a decision to be made. When George found out it was too late as John K had picked up sufficient players for that position. As such George obviously became a free agent and was snapped up by Dewsbury. It was rumoured you had been in talks with him at the same time we had offered him a contract anyway but how true that is I don't know. But you can't blame George for saying yes to the Rams as he didn't have a club to play for. I think that's the crux rather than him wanting to prove a point to Batley.

There's an arguement to say if you wanted to keep him for next year then why not offer him terms earlier. The same applies to AF too (although I can understand fans animosity about Aaden after what Wilsden Ram has said). We started re-signing players in July. Ok your situation was made difficult by WJ's departure but at the same time that's hardly the players fault is it. You can't realistically ask them to wait until a new coach has been appointed in September before making a decision on their future. Don't get me wrong some might, but others won't. There was nothing stopping Mark S and the board putting contracts on the table.

From what I understand neither player turned down a Dewsbury contact before signing for Batley, although I stand to be corrected.

Whatever the answer, Faal and Crossley have both gone and the Rams will move on.

Hopefully we will sign Players of equal or better ability and finish higher up the table in 2013.

Hope they aren't too good though otherwise someone might be overlooking their fabulous development structure again!

Agree with all that. This time last year we didn't have a coach, any players signed and 5 who had been cornerstones of our side that season already signed on at Halifax.

Regardless of whether we progress in the play offs, we've had a good season in the circumstances and now seemingly are going from strength to strength at our level.

If GM can recruit well there's no reason why you can't do the same and have a much stronger Dewsbury side in 2013.

Barring our encounters obviously, I hope you do.

What garbage WR! Faal could play one game for the dogs and be injured then on, the guy obviously was on a years contract and with his contract completed can go where he wishes! Why did the club not offer him a 5 year deal or why not offer to multiply your sponsorship by 50 to encourage the lad to stop! The players are not FANS why should they show any loyalty, if they had a poor game they would be dropped, where is loyalty then from the club? If you like the player so much forget your loyalty to Dewsbury and come and sponsor him at the Dogs!

What development structure? We don't have a reserves team do we Or is that changing for next season?

If it's loyalty your after why haven't the club announced the signing of Rob Spicer, Josh Tonks and Austin Buchanan? Three lads who have given everything and more for the team! Loyalty has to be reciprocated. Loyalty to clubs from most players is guided by how much they are paid.

Sorry equaliser, but I for one won't be indulging in vocal vitriol against faal and flanagan on boxing day, what would be the point in getting them fired up. Apart from anything else it might give the the impression I gave a flying f@rt about them.

Will you put up the cash to run a reserve team Ramjet?

A number of these players have offers but also they have bids from other clubs - it's up to them to make their minds up. As MS has stated many times the club has a limit on the amounts that it is prepared to pay - if they think they're better off elsewhere, so be it.

Lots of unnecessary vitriol flying about on here for some reason. Maybe it's because the realities of financial life have finally caught up with players' agents too!

Question

b
if batley are bigger and better team, with more money and a better fans

why do they sign our players ?

surely if they were all the above they could attract bigger and better player and surely the likes of robinson (sacked batley off for halifax) bretherton (who should have gone to halifax instead of batley) all the players you get from dewsbury you could have signed...but they chose the Rams.

so working to that

Dewsbury are the bigger team attraction the players first, only after either not fitting in our plans or teams offering more money
only then they join you.

but i suppose little teams have to do that.

where has fev have made there team stronger
obiviously feeling our players have more promise
of going further than picking any off batleys cast off or any of there current all so rans

That just doesn't make any sense.

Batley have strengthened their team vastly with the majority of players we took from Dewsbury, so in the same way you reckon, Featherstone and Halifax (for what they did with our players) must be smaller clubs than Dewsbury with less fans and so on and so forth.

You may remember a few week ago, Featherstone trying to get Ben Black to which he turned their offer down to stay at the Dogs and at the moment they are battling to sign Walmsley, so that's another theory of yours blown out of the water.  Fev DO want Batley players, but the just don't want to go!

And if you remember, KH coached Batley for free, just to be a Bulldog :) so we obviously don't (can't) just throw money around signing whoever we want! ;)
