I know it must be difficult, but please contain yourself Alan.

Unfortunate news for Salford yes, but Swinton Lions supporters are hardly in a good position to crow about this one.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

They might as well play at the LSV - they train there all week!

I'm not the most sympathetic person when it comes to Salford, but that is appalling. I real feel sorry for the fans and even John Wilkinson. Now they've finally got the ground after ten years hard work, they have been pushed out by a cuckoo in the nest. We can all have a laugh at Salford's expense, but this is bad news for rugby league in general.
disques vogue

The club where Eurovision isn't a dirty word. A waltz through the leopard skin lined world of Tom Jones, Bert Kampfert and Burt Bacharach. Step out to the sound of the happy hammond and swing to the seductive sounds of the samba.

DJ's, raffles, cocktails and wide collars. Please dress smart. Gentlemen might like to wear a suit.

Same price. Same music. Same rubbish prizes.

In Sales defence, they had Saturday pencilled in first. Salford were orignally going to play on the Friday, but got switched for live TV coverage.

SKY  yet again ride roughshod over rugby league and its fans, i know its great to have a laugh at the pinks expense but in the long run things like this will affect us all. IMO rugby league is slowly but surely being ruined by sky and unless rfl headquarters get their heads out of their backsides it will continue.

I think rugby league is being ruined more by those people who like to think they are making a point by not going to matches at all.
Sky could show every game if we all turn up to support our team every week. It would make no difference.
This is a rare opportunity to rip the reds. Do you think they lament our bad luck?

last i heard the pinks were asking peel holdings to bail them out failing that, the MERRY men and cohorts will just plunder the NWDA or some other government quango and/or council coffers with no guarantee of monies being repaid. And as for them going into administration it wouldn't surprise me at all seing as all bar 2 superleague clubs run at an operating loss, and i bet if they did the pinks would be treated different to bradford too ie, 1 rule for bradford, keighley and other part rfl funded clubs and another rule for the pinks and other clubs this side of the pennines.

It was mostly Sky's doing that 'persuaded' British rugby league clubs to amend their names so as to sound as much like American football teams as possible in the belief it would bring the game (or rather Sky themselves) loadsamoney and lots of much needed razzmatazz.

‘Hawks’, ‘Bulldogs’, ‘Centurions’, ‘Rhinos’, ‘Wolves’, ‘Wildcats’, ‘Giants’ etc, etc, etc, - makes you want to throw up doesn’t it?

At least ours has nothing cheesy and phoney about it as we've been ‘the Lions’ since Queen Victoria was a lass.
