Well the rumour factory at S/field is in over drive, I was overhearing a group of haven fans talking today & you wouldn't believe the names of players that was been banded about, Fev can handover the league leaders trophy in Feb when the league kicks off as haven have won it already, they are breaking the bank to sign Jessie Joe & Matty , funny I thought they had broken the bank last year , isn't that why they went into administration.

Haha if they give jjp anymore than he's on now then they have absolute muppets in charge. As for matty, if they offer crazy money to him then we can't blame him for going there, and we will say thank you for a great years service and go and find a more than capable replacement. The lad is a fantastic rugby player, is any player worth risking the stability of out future? Certainly not. whoever leaves let's not hit the panic button, we did it last year and ended up a much better side so let's keep the faith.

I'd love to know where all this cash is coming from they were in admin not so long ago. I wouldnt listen to their fans thy're deluded. Yes they will bring players in but not the standard of player their fans think will come

It's simple. All you do is pay the players wages you can't afford and don't pay anyone else. Live in a dream world that crowds will come flocking and that the team will win every week. When that doesn't happen keep on spending and go bust at the end of the season. Plead to the RFL to be allowed to start up again (they will allow you to do it as they have no replacement clubs), start with a clean slate and start the whole process again.
For clarification the whole process is called cheating.
And a word of warning to any prospective new coach (this doesn't include anyone with the surname Doran who will deemed to be untouchable) whatever you do don't go to Euro Disney on a family break. If you ignore this advice then make sure your mobile is turned off for the duration of the trip.

Surely we can match any offer they make matty. Only way i can see him going back there is if he really wants to go back to them.

Surely he wouldn't be daft enough to fall for that one again? They can offer as much as they want but when they go bust half way through the season it's only actually 50% of what was promised.

What makes you think haven will go bust again. I believe There clubs on a sound financial footing now plus every signing has to be vetted by the rfl and if they think the club cannot afford it they don't sanction it.

That was also the case last time they went bust.
What about Bradford, I suppose they had their signings vetted???
When they signed SJP it was on supposedly on the strength of a huge increase in lottery members which I find almost impossible to believe.
They won't have much debt as it got cleared when they went bust but how are you in a position to say they are on a sound financial footing when they are attracting low attendances and offering big contracts??
None of the basic principles of business stack up, it's not rocket science.

Its all about budgeting if you budget for 500 and average 850 you make money the more money the better contracts your players get.

I have been watching young olstrom lately in the hooking role and have been quite impressed by the standard the young fella has improved on whilst doing a hard job in rugby league playing hooker,he has not got the go forward that matty has but he certainly can put the ball where it should go,if he had not gotten that sidestep he might make a bloody hooker and would not be that far behind matty has a lot of people think.I think that putting brett(carter) in the stand off role will be a big move for the lad, with his pace and step he could turn out to be a match winner for us on sunday,i think the only person that we need to bother about is the lad at 6,(the bald one) he just went forward everytime against town and with some young willing forwards running on to his passes he never got his shirt dirty if we can quiten him down we will be ok.come on the town......Super league contract offered to matty by the Dick Turpin run club I have heared, doing their best to get him back it seems

Well they were expecting an average well over 1,000 and ended up with less than 900 so that kind of blows that calculation out of the window.
