Anyone see the super league player at the game yesterday? Obviously must be signing as he was at the ground.lol.Although he was within 15 miles of haven which means he's actually already signed for them.

Talking to a haven fan today who is genuine and i would have reason to believe him as he talks sense who tells me we will be looking for a new hooker as our current one IS returning to his old stomping ground.

After watching the game yesterday there about 9 quality players short for next year. With or without matty I see them dropping out of that league very quickly.

Well it could be 8 wonky as i also was told another of our better players could be on his way to them. I'm suprised as if this player is leaving us i would have thought it would have been to his home town club

Yeah that was him hate the Rec. You know how rumours go, Liam Campbell was at the haven match so he was automatically signing, so on that reckoning Donaldson must be a town player lol. (ps I know there's no chance, before choccy cut and pastes onto the haven board).

I think if Matty is going then we need to be getting the cheque book out and getting Brett carter signed on now. I honestly think he's irreplaceable unless your looking for super league players. My opinion is that he's the best full back we've had since mully and to lose him would be a big blow to us

Probably the promise of a job at sellafield with the rest of them could be the main reason for wanting to go there. What other reason could there be ?Well it could be 8 wonky as i also was told another of our better players could be on his way to them. I'm suprised as if this player is leaving us i would have thought it would have been to his home town club

That's what I was thinking watching that rabble ... Why would you / anyone go there , especially if your with the team whove looked so superior , more unified over n over again?

I would be very shocked if anyone other than matty signs for them.

You'd think even he would see it as a no brainer . Respect the lads call but they do look a shambles.

As I've said before I would not only be shocked but also disappointed if Matty leaves us for Haven, after the way Town looked after him and Haven didn't!!!
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

crack here is matty will be at haven next year, and as the rfl have cut clubs funding for the community roll and we now have to fill that roll with issaka going back to Oz i wouldn't be suprised if carter was a target for it,doesn't mean he will sign though

to be honest marra haven need as much help as they can get at the minute, take rooney out of the side and they are left with very little to offer.crack here is matty will be at haven next year, and as the rfl have cut clubs funding for the community roll and we now have to fill that roll with issaka going back to Oz i wouldn't be suprised if carter was a target for it,doesn't mean he will sign though
i dont think haven were quite as bad as people are making out yesterday ,they just had any fight knocked right out of them by a very fired up and aggresiveTown team, from my point of view it was a treat to watch Town ripping into haven time and time again
as for Carter going to haven of course hes a target for you but i really cant see it happening.
COME ON YOU TOWN!!

I doubt very much that brett will sign for haven, he's proud to be a townie as he's said multiple times so I doubt he would go to the luxurious land of haven.

Both clubs have their work cut out assembling stronger squads for life in the championship. Haven have more to do than town IMO. Spending top dollar on any individual player could backfire through imbalancing the strength of the squad in genral in what will be a tough league.

Lets hope all 3 clubs dont get sucked into a bidding war for the available cumbrian players, it could be disasterous when it comes to competing in the championship
