You mean top teams don't fork out for player development?
Fancy.
No teams outside teams run U20s
Fev & Sheff are the only two non SL teams to run full player pathways from U15, U16s, U18s, U23s to 1st team though.

Waste of time and money, will only get cherry picked for free by super league clubs if any decent.

Whats the point though, so your sole purpose of player pathway is to teach a player the game from school all the way to the first team for him to get cheer picked for 5k? your happy with that? you see that as success? it probably costs over 50k a year to run them teams per year, so hardly making money is it?

We got considerably more than 5k for him, although I doubt very much we're doing it as a profit making exercise. And as for it's value, with the way the club is being run at the moment, I doubt that we'd be running them if the BOD and coaching staff didn't feel it was worthwhile. I'm happy to trust their judgement.

that'll explain why 50% of the "crowd" at Don Valley were wearing squad shirts or sat with someone who was - its clearly a boon!Fev & Sheff are the only two non SL teams to run full player pathways from U15, U16s, U18s, U23s to 1st team though.
