I think the south wales game mirrowed the raiders season, from brilliant to attrocious. When in posession, in their apponents half, there is no other team in the league whith a higher rate of converting possesion into points, then the basics go to pot, its not losing the ball in the tackle, but losing control at the play the ball, especially first or second tackle near our own line. It does not matter how good our defence is it can not withstand that sort of pressure. I think The Raiders record against the top teams is better than Doncasters, but against the bottom six is much worse, and I think loss of posession was the cause of these losses. I am sure this will be worked on over the next two weeks, and we will come out all guns balsing at Doncaster.

You make our season sound quite negative. We won every competitive game as home. We got promoted. We had a squad 90% local. Our heaviest defeat of the season against our own league was 14 points. Fourth highest gate outside SL. We beat every team in the league over two games apart from Workington, who we've beat more than they've beaten us.
IMO Workington Barrow and Doncaster can all beat eachother on their day home and away, its just a matter on how well we play on the day.

Completly the opposite, we have had a brilliant season, but some on here are all doom and gloom, and suddenly a good team are bad, what I am saying is the teams fine, its silly mistakes which put us under pressure,You make our season sound quite negative. I think the "kid" is meaning scores of both matches added together, morty. He did say though that Barrow won every competitive game at home and that Barrow had beaten Town more times than we beat them. Hmmmmmmmm, that isn't hard to see from the bare facts but we played 3 of the 4 games at Barrow where we drew, lost by 7 and lost by 8 but won the one game at Worky by 14 and knocked up the biggest score against you all season (48). Take away the drop goal that wasn't and the total scores added together between our two clubs was equal. If you lose at Donny and we win our first two play-offs we will be back down to Barrow for a 4th time this season!!!!!!!!!!
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

For Doncaster not to be in the final they would have to lose twice at home in the play-offs !
I really cannot see that happening !

Agreed, would be a fantastic Cumbrian day out !
I think for a good attendance, Barrow need to get to the final as we would take many more fans than any other Champ One side.
Historically the top two usually reach the final so its odds on going to be a Doncaster v Barrow final :-)
