My dislike for Halifax borders on the irrational these days. Very, very fortunate tonight. Unlucky Keighley and big raps for Jason Demetriou - a great servant of the game.

I really hope we get another shot at the Shay - I think it might be a different tale next time.

Lesson to be learnt tonight was that in the playoffs it doesn't matter how you win, by 1 point or 100 or either playing quality or terrible, the only thing that matters is getting that win!!

Halifax were poor last night and keighley put in a good performance. Although I think Gannon and azue's try's were more down to poor defence in the first half.

Unlucky Keighley would have loved to see them beat Fax but I think the best team won on the night in the end.

Big test for us on Sunday. Sheffield are the only team we haven't beaten this year. This Sunday would be the perfect time to correct that .

I think I am at odds with the forum on this one. While it was annoying that KH took those players, I do not mind Halifax at all, and admire their habit of consistently winning against the odds, the last two matches being prime examples.
I do not know the ins and outs of KH leaving, but on the rare occasions I spoke to him, he came across as civil and polite.
He looks stern because he seems to take the job seriously, I like that. He played a huge part in our clubs revitalisation, and I for one will always be grateful for that, as did Paul Handforth.
Yesterday PH played a huge part in his team winning, as he did for us many times. Quite why he comes in for so much stick on their forum I have no idea.
Anyway, I still reckon we can beat them if we can just get past Sheffield!

Completely different kind of player from Black, so not comparable in my view. Was not there at the dinner, so cannot comment, but would, like the rest of us, have preferred him to stay.

I think we are running the risk of becoming obsessed with both Fax and Harrison. This could be Harrison`s ploy all along, he see`s Batley as a threat to Fax`s supremacy. .

Both Fax and Harrison are not worth the wasted energy. Let`s concentrate on how we`re doing and let them worry about us, as they obviously already are.

The arrogance you speak of obviously is some sort of superiority complex that the club as a whole has got, thats why `Rhino` fits in so perfectly. So let them get on with it, they deserve each other.

I was going to say that living in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale, I know a number of Halifax fans, none of whom are arrogant (obviously Ackropj isn't one of them - he prefers to hang out with the good Chairman).
However, after Ackropj's little tantrum, I won't bother.

I'll just cheer Chairman LMAO up by letting him know that my missionary efforts are bearing fruit. I've converted six residents of Halifax to the Bulldogs' cause already. If I keep on going for another few years' the Shay will be empty.

I was merely having a wind up with some of your obsessed fans. To be fair though you will need to bring fans in from outside Batley cause those in the vacinity clearly dont turn up, Its the same in all the clubs in the championship, 2 adults and a couple of kids, Food and beers is £50 minimum in most towns and that can be expensive for just a couple of hours, & unless you win regularly hard to build from. Looking at most championship clubs in the top 6 yourself included is dire, As you will no doubt see first hand when you travel to the DVS and there 50 supporters.

I think Mr Ackropj was merely having a wind up. Relax. He loves his club as much as we love ours.

Mind you, it was a poor turn out last night!!! I suspect all of the top 6 clubs, in fact all Championship clubs walk a bit of a tightrope financially.

Yep sorry, but I get so wound up, when people who don't know, come on here and have a go, albeit in jest . We are in the fortunate position of SEEING what our own club is doing, so when someone comes on and says bluntly we are better than you, I believe they have to be told they are not
