Is any one else getting a bit worried over the number of signings/resignings annouced for next season.Leigh, fax, fev, batley and even the likes of hunslet, cougars, york and dewsbury have annouced quite a few they have signed/resigned for next season.
When you think swinton will lose aj,morrison, cuniffe and thats not counting any player whats being spoken to by other clubs next season could end up tougher than this season and i dont think barrow, haven, workington and donny will be push over, i just hope things are being sorted behind the scenes.

The trouble with this post Tony is it will now deteriorate into another "we are all doomed" thread.
I'm confident McCormack will have lots of irons in the fire.

York have signed one new player upto now and four have left, its less than a week since the last match, plenty of time to bring in new players.

to be fair Mark an announcment does need to be made by the club, even more so when John said there would be a meeting early Sept and and still not heard nothing. Another point why I am getting frustated is I have started paying for my season ticket next year and still don't have a clue where we are paying.

Last week in the banqueting suite JK said the meeting would hopefully be in late September.

I know mate. But it'd be nice just once to keep that on one thread instead of every single thing we discuss.

With regard to the all important and elusive "fans' meeting".
When first announced on the club's website didn't it say it would be arranged as soon as possible in early September, or words to that effect? (Immediately post Leigh match?).
Now it's apparently - "hopefully be in late September". (a mention in the LSV banqueting suite NOT via usual means of mediation, i.e. website or match programme etc).
If this is the case then, reading between the lines, it would seem to infer the possibility of less than good news (I DO hope I'm wrong).
I mean to say "early September" is certainly quite different from “HOPEFULLY in LATE September”.
I honestly believe at this precise moment in time, the club should call this meeting for their ever loyal band of followers SOONER rather than LATER if only to quell our natural anxieties regarding what is easily the most important step in the club's existence for many, many years.
It's been OVER TWO decades since the passing of Station Road and we need to return SOON - if not EARLIER.
Nuff sed.

No news is good news! The next time a meeting is called it has to be either yes or no! Maybe they are making sure that everything is hunky dory or that every avenue has been explored? No point in calling a meeting to announce that things are ongoing.

It says in the advertiser that we have been doing lots behind the scenes to bolster our squad with size and quality.
